if shorts are going to have to close, then IMO the squeeze could be very material.....good luck all holders and looking forward to Monday already.

Not out of the woods by a long stretch but I am feeling a lot better about my positions here going into the weekend than I have in quite some time. Enjoy a couple of days off this board everyone and get some fresh air. More fun and games to come on Monday..!

Yeap Topaz good note ( wow that feels odd ) very good
Statement by BNN new appointment .

He is going to be a huge asset on the listing .

A very strong rise next week coming £1 at least .

The shorts are in big trouble and will buy early next week as the stock rises .

I have had some strong comments on the actions or lack of them from BNN but this hopefully will be a start of some very exciting times this year .

Well done to all the longs who clung on .

I am out at the moment, and while I dont begrudge you the rise as you have put your own money on the line, I would urge you to try and think about this in a rational way.

The company is loss making, the platform is semi built and granted there are new revenue streams to come on, but it will be loss making into H2 and I think cash consumptive. It has not yet in my mind proved itself.

my main question (concern) is why does a company with apparently great prospects in its chosen verticals diversify now? I believe the cash raise was to cover the impending cash crunch. Someone pointed out that the debt wasnt due until next year. But that misses the point. Any accountant worth their salt would have put out a qualified statement at the FY17 interims warning of BNNs prospects as a going concern unless funding was found.

The new board appointments: Mr Forbes looks good, I havent checked his background much. Hopefully he will have good contacts in China? But Mr Keiley. hmm he is a former economics and Government High School teacher at Malibu High School. Can he really bring great contacts to the table in terms of the NASDAQ ipo? He is no investment banker. I admit I dont know (and nor do you). I expect the Board has done its DD on both these individuals and they will contribute positively. But lets be honest no-one knows them. They could be great, they could be poor.

So we are back to the central point. Have we learned much that makes me or you more or less positive on the prospects for the company? I sit in the No camp, many of you sit in the yes camp.

As I said I have no position as I bought mine back yesterday morning. but dont get too carried away. over 100p and this becomes a Short again IMHO because the market cap will not justify the prospects.

I really think that this could go over £1 next week then anything is possible as the shorts run for cover, I am advised that there are millions of shorts out there in BNN and if we have a half decent rise again they will have to buy in the market so this could really rocket just by a relatively small initial rise and the upward momentum could push this up by a significant percentage.

GL to all the longs

An astonishingly strong statement from Harry, he means business! Topped up!

[Harry Keiley added:

"Having been involved with CalSTRS since 2008, I've witnessed first hand companies and their CEOs successfully meet the challenges of transitioning from growth stage to dominant market positions. I'm very excited about BNN's strategy, its progress to date and its prospects for building shareholder value as it aims to develop one of the largest databases in the huge Chinese market. I am also impressed at the Company's level of preparedness ahead of its NASDAQ listing and I look forward to working with the team to ensure BNN is in the best possible shape to enter life as a US listed company."]

Thanks for spotting that astral as will not have the chance of a decent read until the weekend. In a way that is encouraging as declared revenues are purely from the lower commission mobile top-up only income only and more can come from same users when they have access to extra services like utility and fines. Also notice it is live in 10 out of the 12 provinces so some further expansion still to come as well. Would like it all now of course but that is how it is.

Confirmation in the AR that the platform is currently live for mobile phone top ups only, with utility bills and traffic fines payments still to come.
This does help explain why the take up and GTV have been poor to date.
We can expect acceleration of top line growth when utility payments and traffic fines are live.

page 20:

'BNN Payments Platform BNN’s partnership with Xinhuatong and branch offices of Xinhua, the national news agency in China, provides BNN with the ability to supply a technology platform and facilitate B2B and B2C mobile payments through the Xinhua News Mobile app for public utility bills including electricity, gas, water, mobile phone top up and traffic fines in 12 provinces in China. At the time of this document being published, mobile top up payments are live on the app in 10 provinces, with the company working to deliver the remaining payments onto the Xinhua mobile app in 2017.'

Sorry you are right and11, I was thinking of gross cash burn as you increase the development workforce say, balanced against that is incremental revenues which means net cash burn withers away as I think I mentioned in a post yesterday. Expect BNN to be at an operational cash flow break even in H2 as they have stated, just a case of how quickly or late in H2! The answer to that is all down to the launch of the motorist app and rate of take-up.

Happy to agree PC.
Yes, focus on revenue growth. I would also like to see BNN focus as well on providing clear guidance and timely information to investors. It could well be that that aspect takes care of itself via the Nasdaq listing, where such matters will become paramount.

mlf51,
I didn't sell, as have seen these low points before. For me the business idea is sound, just needs time to sort out all the detail.

PC! Have you fractured in new revenues for H2/ operating Proffitt for H2... I would not expect operational cash burn to not increase from here

Yes lets make it a draw astral, it was a useful exercise at least and we both came from different routes of base information, but today has drawn a line under that although I would say that lower figure of mine was net burn after income as I had a core burn of £2.03M. I now read this as £2M net burn per month and yes it will increase if they expand their own opex operations (do they actually need extra staff/facilities for further web portal development for student/credit rating? Not clear right now) and there are always one off costs of course.

Focus right now is to watch the revenue where I expect stead growth form base platform across the year, with new marketing revenues starting H2, however key new revenue is the motorist app and should be the tool to move them into cash flow breakeven and beyond.

astralvision, you're gonna miss the boat, it's sailing off and you're pondering the situation! Take it from Topaz, the appointments today are a massive game changer, this is going to storm past those hesitating, the sails are only just being prepared for the long cruise ahead ... I'm on board, are you? Get your tickets folks and then sit back and relax!

Wondered when you would raise that Genises! You need to read the posts a bit more carefully and dyor.
Check my posts, yesterday I suggested that the cash burn would be around £2.5m/month (post 3169)
PC suggested £1.3m/month (post 3169)
That makes me a bit closer than PC on that one, although the £2m/month is for the first 4 months and I expect that £2m/month figure to increase over the whole course of the year. The broker will give guidance on that one.Not that it's a competition but I'm happy to call it a draw with PC, so far.
Worth pointing out that PC raised the issue of cash burn, not me. I have no problems with a company burning cash at this stage of it's development. What I am more concerned with is top line growth. We need to see BNN getting top-line traction, and that means a lot more than they have demonstrated recently where the growth has been rather pedestrian.

With these two high profile appointments I expect a market cap of upwards of $1Billion when BNN lists on the Nasdaq, maybe $2B, especially if all the platforms announced so far are operational by then.
