It's a strange coincidence that two shares that I have had recently, have started with the word Blue, and have done well for me.

Blue Prism, Blue Star Capital now Blue Rock Diamonds appears.
Weird.

Be great if BRD followed suit!

You certainly seemed quite upbeat yourself back in February.....was it post 2?

I can understand the disillusionment but let's hope for a turnaround,or have you sold out?

Thank you for pointing out the typo.
Clearly the CEO has been mentioned correctly in every other post and is now corrected in the relevant post .
As to the rest of your points....the vast majority of diamond firms have been suffering as the trend has been down.
Sectors go in and out of fashion.
I will concede that they have taken out several loans in recent times.

I find it worthwhile to pick out firms that look as if they might have a turn around in their circumstances while the sector has a chance of picking up in general terms.

If the economic conditions had been better the share-prices would reflect that.

with headlines like this

'BlueRock Diamonds Annual Loss Narrows In "Year Of Change"

and

'BlueRock Shares Jump On Higher Grades And Ongoing Production Rise'

we can hope that with a changing economic climate their share-price might reflect that in the future.

Nothing is certain in life.
There are no guarantees in shares but the future is just that, the future and things here feel a bit brighter to me.

Paul Beck is not CEO...
Company is drowning debt - director's loan earlier this year, recent asset financing and CLNs.

DIAMONDS...........not just gold, might be coming back in fashion, in my opinion.

45.9% of the shares were not in the public hands from that date and that will have changed slightly with the last addition,to the market and could of course, continue to change.
In a nutshell I am hoping that the new board will change the future of what was an ailing firm.

'my first task was to conduct an operational review of all operations and personnel at the Kareevlei Mine in order to try to establish the reasons for the problems that we had faced...'

'BlueRock Diamonds reports that during August it sold 400 carats of diamonds from its Kareevlei mine near Kimberley, South Africa, at an average selling price of US$330/carat.'

'
• The company also notes that ore production rates continue “to improve with July’s total production of 20,200 tonnes representing an increase of 40% on the production achieved in June 2017. The total tonnage for August is on target to exceed July’s total.”

• Commenting on the progress towards achieving the targeted 25,000 tonnes per month throughput, Chief Executive, Adam Waugh, commented that “We are now well on our way to achiebing profitable mining with the expected further improvement to grades as we begin processing the sub 20 metre level kimberlite in September.”

Conclusion: BlueRock Diamonds is making progress towards achieving its targeted 25,000tpm throughput of ore with realized diamond prices holding above the most recent US$232/carat guidance price from the company’s competent person Zsar.'

When I was in GEM the coloured stones were all the rage.
These things go in fashion as well as anything else.
I have thought for some time that diamonds would back a come make and of course they are considered a great store of value in economically uncertain times.

Yes I have seen your negative posts stretching back....however...you did say you might be tempted so I suppose that's progress.
I think now that it's not blue it reflects better the buy and sell price more accurately with any luck.
At least that brought attention to the share.

I think the small number of shares in issue brought this down quickly into over-sold territory.
Now,in my opinion it is ready for a deserved upturn.
A director has bought, the shares are working towards profitability and there is
a general upbeat feeling for the rest of the year.
The diamonds are of higher carat and I am expecting this to be in recovery mode now.

IMO

Large overhang at 1.25p might hold these back for some time. Depends if those who took part in the placing want a quick profit.
