Bit more interest in BRD today. Buyers nibbling away.

I know this is from a few months back and a few weeks before the placing, but despite this it just adds further to my view at least that this is going to be a stock worth sitting on and just letting run.

'Zimnisky stated that the anticipated decline in global diamond production in 2018 along with producer inventories at multi-year lows, a demand increase should allow for diamond price upside. A 2-4% increase in diamond demand is quite possible this year given the backdrop of a strong global economy, healthy US consumer sentiment, signs of a stronger Mainland Chinese market and the Diamond Producers Association (DPA) increased generic marketing budget fuelling the return of generic diamond marketing.


This scenario, he says, could translate to a real 3-5 per cent increase in rough and polished prices this year. Through the end of February, the impact of these fundamentals have already been evident as rough prices are up by approximately 1.0 per cent year-to-date according to the Zimnisky Global Rough Diamond Price Index and surveyed polished prices up 0.5 per cent. '

They probably need to go back to monthly reporting to keep the interest up. I had another listen of their last video and there was a question on whether the business was now self-funding which didn't get a proper answer. I hope they don't just keep raising money every 6 months.

At least currency and diamond prices are starting to move in the right direction. We just need some announcements on large high value diamond finds then we’ll be away.

Not sure there’ll be anything else before end of June now. The point that he made on why on earth didn’t they start on k1 first was a good one. Also no profit in q1 which doesn’t sound good.
