Sheep_Herder - this is still a company which is "under the radar". There are some long termers who have invested from 2 pence upwards - in my case from 5 pence. Yet I have consistently invested further as the price has risen.

Rod McIllree and his board have immense talent; from geology to asset management. The chairman is a former head of the London Metal Exchange and a nice guy to boot!

Whilst we are, like the board, fixated on Dundas, there are other assets and Disko could really be a future substitute if not equal Norilsk Nickel as in Siberia (take a look at that on Wiki for a taster).

Good to have you on board.

I've only been following JAY for a while but wanted to add that although I agree that the company website is great, I've learnt a lot from the people posting here. It does indeed seem a nice relaxed board rather than the usual! So thanks to those of you who've added to my own limited research and helped me come to the conclusion of investing. Looking forward to this year.

Honestly visit the Website ( in the header above).

Its one of the most comprehensive company sites I’ve ever seen.

Directors. Massive holders of stock, they are absolutely aligned with us lot!

In a market that Base resources confirmed in their RNS as being buoyant and looking forward Chloride Ilmenite (ours) is in demand and in something of a deficit going forwards.

Well run, in a market that is in deficit, growing in size annually.

We hold, quite honestly a daft amount! But it’s not the share that keeps you up at
Night. Held since FinnAust days.

The equally good prospects in Greenland - Disko island & Peninsula, MMS type orebody
Nickel Sulphide, PGM Group Metals.
having shown its potential to host mineralisation similar to the world’s largest nickel/copper sulphide mine Norilsk-Talnakh (‘Norilsk’), Bluejay is excited to prove up Disko’s resource potential.

Kangerluarsuk,
Historical work at Kangerluarsuk has recovered grades of 41% zinc, 9.3% lead and 596 g/t silver and geological and structural mapping of the basin with uninterrupted rock exposure allowed the creation of accurate structural models including growth faults likely to provide a conduit for mineralising fluids. This model, coupled with conductors defined by ZTEM and soil geochemistry, has defined four large-scale drill ready targets.

Plenty more on Greenland & Finland for all you weekend researchers.

R.

ripplevale - good to hear from you.

Funding - recent placing at 22 pence M & G (Prudential) increased its position; Sandgrove increased its position and Capital International declared an interest of over 5% but I believe that they may have had an interest which they did not need to disclose before this announcement. We await the DFS. For all we know the placing proceeds will be sufficient for infrastructure, the pier equipment finalisation of the EIA and SIA and then the DFS.

Debt - None. Bluejay and before that prior to the name change, FinnAust, has never had any debt in the past two years - I do not know prior to that period.

Offtakes - under discussion

Partners N/A at present.

Comments above are in relation to the sands at Dundas although part of the placing proceeds will assist with the Finnish assets and exploration work at Disko.

Hope that is helpful.

I have been a modest investor in Jay for sometime but have taken my eye of the ball and feel under-invested and under-knowledgable here

Could someone direct me to a good overall post (not on resources as I more than happy with what is available) but funding, debt, take-offs, partners etc?

Would like to do some research over the weekend as this feels very positive.

2 pence at one point!!

gersemi. The company was called Finnaust until it changed its name to Bluejay last year. The epic code was FAM. Thus you will often see macca refer to us as the FAMily. macca is a substantial holder.

May I suggest that you enter FAM and then trawl back some posts. You will soon see what the comments are about. Interesting reading if you trawl backwards.

richie666 is in fact Richard Jennings the founder of Align Research. In the view of many of us LTH (long term holders) richie got it terribly wrong to the extent and in fairness it is easier to say so in hindsight although some of us were happy to take it on at the time.

There is more to it than just that but nuff said.

As BBB says the next high we get (and I am convinced that there will be more) you will see a buy of 6666 shares. The "culprit" is likely to be macca.

PS We have nothing against richie666 but he does tend to "call people out"!!

gersemi: once upon a time there was a poster on this board called richie666. In contrast to other posters, Richie was unenthusiastic about Jay's prospects. From memory I think he valued the shares at around 5p when they were at 20p and heading north. Others on here found him over repetitive to say the least. Eventually he stopped posting, but he is not forgotten because macca started a 'bluejay at every tick' fund. I think he last bought at 26p. Look out for a 6666 purchase when we hit 27p. I guess Trev didn't want to wait.

ok Gersemi, well I think buying back in is the way forward. Lets face it if you can hire taxis when the car is absent for a few months I'm sure the "conjugal rights" dilemma can be squared away in much the same fashion;-)

Thanks fella. Now i'm tempted to use the proceeds from the sale this morning to buy back in though on second thoughts the wife knows I've sold some. Buying back what I sold would simply result in the removal of my conjugal 'rights'..

Very excited with this stock. The price is solid as a rock which bodes well...

thanks

Why, what's happening in a 'month or so' to allow me to sell at a higher price?

Do you know something I don't? LOL

'Just thinking out loud.'..Is this a caveat?

As per usual your work helps to make this thread informed and up to date. This thread has turned into total dream thread with the posters being so polite and so far removed form the typical ADVFN thread where the hordes brag and argue, lie and deceive as a matter of course.

Good luck to all holders and so many thanks to you all for your really great input and spirit. Long live the Ilmenite Monster.

No problem. I feel a moral duty to confirm a sale if I've previously declared myself to be a stock-holder on a thread although saying that I tend to lose track as I'm holding so many positions at once, it becomes a chore to update all threads. I like JAY though and I think its future is stonking

Base resources results out today make happy reading for us JAY’s, an extract below.

A supply deficit in the high-grade feedstock sector (which includes rutile), driven mostly by the strength in the western chloride pigment sector, is resulting in continued upward price momentum. It is expected that this will translate into price gains as offtake contracts are renewed in 2018 for bulk rutile and chloride slag sales to large mainstream customers.

In the absence of substantial new feedstock supply coming online, the titanium dioxide feedstock market is expected to remain in structural supply deficit, providing an opportunity for continued price strength in both ilmenite and rutile over the coming years.
