My god...is it...it can't be...shurely shome mishtake...

BLUE!!

NJP, I could have posted that word for word (except I'm in for a bit more than play money, though I'm only at a small loss at the moment).

I've not sold mine yet, riv. Not a lot - indeed hardly play money - but still in. BTR has suffered IMO with the sector going horribly out of favour. Good fundamentals will help the share price out of the hole it's in.

I did ruefully look back at the 20p+ high and wonder why I didn't sell, but I didn't care enough at the time as I had so little invested. There's a moral buried there somewhere. ;-)

Agreed. Considering BTR made a £60k PBT in H2 last year, and with the World Cup, other contract wins and the granting of director options in this year's H1 the results will imo be OK at worst - certainly enough to support a £2.8m m/cap and maybe a lot more.

More importantly, there's been no RNS noting anything amiss as at the 30/9 period end. If something was amiss BTR would have had to announce it by now.

It's the brave who buy at the lows and assess the information at hand rather than the share price chart showing what's happened in the past philjeans. You and me both then!

Well, I've taken the plunge on this one with a 50k parcel - wish me luck Rivaldo!

I agree it looks unloved and oversold; fundamentals look OK and the share has suffered from the general malaise and fall out from the ring tone market.

Looks safe to me and due for a correction after the figures.

Let's load up and then tell the rest!

News...US expansion, presumably partly to serve Motorola, though the RNS refers to clients in the plural.

Results should be out soon. On a £2.8m m/cap I consider BTR to be much undervalued. Should have sold at the high and bought back in now...anyway, we'll soon see!

"New US subsidiary

Blue Star Mobile Group PLC, the AIM listed organisation which develops and
delivers mobile marketing solutions, announces that it has set up Blue Star
Mobile Inc, a wholly owned US subsidiary based in Chicago.

David Maclachan, who is currently a non-executive board Director, will take up
an executive role with immediate effect and head up the US operation.

Steve Clarke, CEO of Blue Star Mobile commented, 'Over the past 12 months our
business has become more internationally focused and we believe that the
creation of our US operation will increase our ability to service our existing
clients and secure new business across the United States.'"

For all the thousands of BTR followers out there... :o))

Having talked to the company I gather there won't be a trading statement to 30/9. I deduce this is good news - it means BTR are perfectly on track so no need to announce. Press expectations were for a £400k-£500k PBT this year. Let's wait and see.

Had a good chat with a director too and am comfortable with BTR's strategy - in particular that their income from mobiles etc won't have suffered as have WNN's, MOB's etc. So given the World Cup in H1 and the stream of contracts (and that issue of options) I remain positive.

WJ, completely disagree! Formal Board meetings usually happen once a month in my experience, and even then there'll be informal discussions outside those meetings. That's especially the case with small caps like BTR. So options can be discussed and granted at VERY short notice....and informal exploratory pre-Board meeting discussions about options certainly needn't necessarily be minuted!

Hi new_scally. That's not the point - it's the exercise price that's key. The options are being granted at a 12.25p exercise price, i.e just below the current mid-price. If the directors expected the share price to fall/be lower in a couple of months' time (or indeed at any future time) they'd wait until then to grant them at, say, 8p or 10p. But they haven't...

They are granting options that cannot be excersised until at least 2009, nothing to do with the current performance.

Well well....this is interesting:

I'd rather see buying of actual shares by the directors, but the granting of options just a few days prior to the 30/9 period end is intriguing. Now why would they grant options at such a time, i.e a few days before the closed period, unless the likelihood was that the price is going to be rising post-results?

This strengthens my belief that these results will be strong.

We are due another contract RNS as well.

BTR have been regular with these, pity the share price has went backwards.

As rivaldo says, not much priced in with a cap of >£3m.

Hi aldi1. I find it's often the quietest threads that are the best-performing -FDP, MSI, BDI, HYD, the list is endless. In contrast, look at the performance of the busiest smaller cap threads - BPRG, TDM, TRK, PRM etc etc.....

My post 381 sums everything up for me, and the m/cap is now £3.38m! I suspect the price decline is down to worries about the mobile content market, but this doesn't take into account BTR's long-term contracts and recurring income. Worth a punt imho, but DYOR etc..

you still on this one rivaldo?
i've had it on my list for 6 months now but something else has always been more appealing.
finally come to have another look and the price is extremely inviting.
has the story changed?
what are your eps/share price expectations for the next results?

but most importantly........why has noone posted in almost 6 weeks????

Interesting RNS from BSkyB today:

"BSkyB has been awarded the mobile audio-visual rights to Barclays Premiership
football in a three-year deal starting August 2007. The bid was made in
partnership with News Group Newspapers, publishers of The Sun and News of the
World, who will jointly market and promote the new services."

Could be some nice work for BTR here - guess who not only manages News Corp's mobile content offerings (the Page 3 site, competitions etc), but also has a sports marketing consultancy "specialising in football and mobile services" with partnerships with a number of major clubs (some Premiership, some Championship)....

The lack of interest here astounds me! Oh well. BTR have serious recurring income from their News Corp, Premiership and T-Mobile contracts, plus a series of development contracts with the likes of Motorola and 20th Century Fox leading to RNS's like today, and are forecast to make £500k operating profit THIS YEAR on a £3.9m m/cap - with £400k cash in the bank to boot.

At least the bb is nice and quiet. IMO if and when BTR announce excellent H1 results everyone will be surprised as usual and the mark-up will be enormous.

The AGM is coming up soon. I might see if BTR can be persuaded to issue an AGM statement this time (they didn't last year, probably as they'd only just listed).

Hi parkesdominic, good to see another holder here.

Nothing too complicated here imo. Note that BTR made a £55k operating PROFIT in H2 last year. With a £500k operating profit forecast this year on a £3.9m m/cap, plus £400k cash in hand and with worldwide and cross-sector growth potential BTR has great growth potential imo. More importantly, the company is advancing from a solid, profitable base and already has £3m of annual turnover - no blue sky operation this.

The shares are illiquid however, which is good at certain times and bad at others when just a few small sales mean the price can drift as it is currently, with the MM's having to protect their positions.

Shame about England's exit, but the World Cup and the other contracts already announced plus recurring income should mean BTR will have a good H1 at the least.

Fishy!

Something just does't add up with this one! It is either a 10 bagger or it will disappear into obscurity! (See WHOG, lots of RNS about contract gains, then gets taken to the cleaners - ouch)

I have taken a small punt, but not willing to go full in, any opinions (not just ramps!) or forecasts anyone.

I am hoping for 25p by December (2006)
