Meant to say.a second test of the prior Breakaway gap support zone if successful is another plus point.

Shorters become buyers when they cover, assuming stock is available. Expect more volatility.

Not sure when PScott wrote the article, but the peak was on 30 May. Over two weeks ago, rather than 'only days ago'.

The price fall mirrors the prior rise. Nothing new in that. I have had two really good trades here over recent weeks, both long, and I am building towards my third. :-)

28 April 2017

Blue Prism Group plc

("Blue Prism" or the "Company")

DIRECTOR / PDMR SHAREHOLDING

Blue Prism, a global leader in Robotic Process Automation ("RPA"), announces that it has been notified that on 28 April 2017 one of its non-executive directors, Charmaine Eggberry, acquired 9,488 shares of 1p each in the Company at a price of 670p.

I hold no shares here....Ms Eggberry clearly clearly saw value at 670p

posted yesterday on a different thread ............
Paul Scott:
"Another wildly pricey growth stock, Blue Prism (LON:PRSM) (in which I hold a short position currently), peaked only days ago at c.950p, and today has dropped to 724p, a 24% drop, on no news."

H&S target completed. The right hand side of a H&S can often go on to form an INVH&S, it will be interesting to see how the chart plays out.

Yesterdays price action also tested the breakaway gap support zone [690-703] that formed on 10 May.

The test proved support at this level, whilst also closing the gap. :-)

There was a point when I sold up that I thought I'd called it wrong, but even then I didn't expect to see £7 again. I still however think it has more to drop, its lost its shine at the moment but if you're in for the long term the macro automation forecasts still indicate massive upside. This needs a positive TU I feel before it will regain confidence.

ashehz I have noticed that the trades here are far more difficult to read.
I think if you are fairly new always look at the sector trends first before day to day movements.

I think you have done amazingly well to have found good rising stock if you have only been doing it about a year.

I took some profits from PRSM last month but then bought back and then tried to average down (bad idea as this is my first avg down). The bit I am unable to understand is that almost all largest trades for last 2-3 days are buys. Sorry this may not be the place to ask as I am new to this world (< year).

It is impossible to know where these will settle and nimbo is correct ,tech and growth are being sold off currently.
I imagine that to some people it is music to their ears.....who either sold off too early or missed out altogether. post 1454 8-)
If you haven't been through a crash before or a
change of sentiment about a sector, this is what it's like sadly.
It is why I tried to indicate before that some self-protection was needed.

Let's hope sentiment changes again just as quickly,it might,or it might not but I still think this is a great firm.

I am not unaffected.
I have been won over by the potential of WAND and got some recently so will have to see if they survive the storm.

Lets see when the results come out. The general consensus from the NY event is demand for RPA (not just BP) is accelerating - that is the view from customers and partners.

I'll let you know after I attend the event next week.

Of course short term price predictions are futile and most growth stocks seem to be selling off. Im staying in : )

If these consolidated at around £5 then I would consider buying again. Some resistance before then but not much. There is an awful lot of jam priced in at even £5 let alone now. This stock is all about market sentiment. If that has now changed it is not the time to be averaging down IMHO.

The view from GS after the new york BP day is RPA could replace Business Process Outsourcing.

The top off a lot of growth shares has been happening over the past week or so.

Wow, words of wisdom from a poster frankl8828 who only joined at the end of May!
Guess we'll all sell up then on that basis!!

Funny thing is, we had the same chart pattern form on KWS the other day. It confirmed as valid, then hit tp on the same day, giving a fantastic opportunity to the dopers, cokers and no-hopers.

Averaging down is a dangerous idea to me, done in last few days but won't do again.
