Doh - I saw "board change" and thought Haywood was on the way out. Alas not. He's a real albatross round the neck of this company.

Other than that, progress looks good. But you wouldn't drill a well for 500 mcf/day, unless it was a really cheapo coal seam gas one, so it's associated gas

Not a market favourite this one by any means as it's all based on expectation and nothing solid that can or will interest the markets.Today's drop spells it out in my view after the RNS

Block Energy

After yesterday’s announcement of a GSA with Bago, a local supplier and purchaser of gas at $5.24 per MCF, with Bago paying for infrastructure, today Block announce the completion of drilling at WR-38Z well in its West Rustavi field. The well showed multiple fractures and oil shows during drilling but we will have no idea about flow rates or productivity until after testing ‘over the coming weeks’.

Block’s share price has been rallying significantly back up to the 8p level but any move back up to the 17.5p high will need a decent flow rate from this well and a rebuild in trust from the market. Both of these are perfectly possible and the management is taking steps to up the profile and I have already had one meeting with PH and have been offered another so things are improving on that front.

The announcement mentioned multiple fractures. What are they in the context of the drill. Thanks in advance

Perhaps / perhaps not supertag ? but BLOE are now technically driven by all the technical people @ BLOE which is great

PH has to a very large extent become irrelevant @ BLOE

For me,perhaps the most encouraging signs showing that this will flow oil & gas very well are:

1.....Original WR-16 well "flowed gas at rates significantly higher than the Company anticipated, occasionally reaching 500 mcf/d (or 80 boepd), well above rates that would be expected if the gas was only associated with the oil."

2.....Signed a Gas Sales agreement at a terrific price well into the new WR-38 side track.

3....They signed the Gas Sales agreement a couple of weeks into the new side track drilling.
Why would they do that if if it was not going well ?

Is this interesting in the RNS: The Field has so far produced 50 Mbbls of light sweet crude...? Can't remember the price per barrel Bloe get but this is 50000 barrels of oil according to their own glossary in the RNS....

* successful drilling
*multiple natural fractures
*oil shows
*used swellable packers that guard against possible fluid incursion
*plans to sidetrack three other wells
*currently acquiring a 3D seismic survey
*significant progress
*flow rate results in the coming weeks

All good. On track.Very happy.

Worth repeating:
*successful
*oil shows
*used swellable packers to prevent water
