BlackRock Latin American Investment Trust Plc - Correction : Transaction in Own Shares

The transaction in own shares announcement released on 23 May 2018 at 17:26hrs
contained an error. It should have reflected an aggregate purchase share price
of 440.50 pence per share rather than 440.25 pence per share. The announcement
below has been corrected to reflect this change. All other information remains
the same.

Transaction in own shares: purchase of own shares to be held in treasury

The Company announces that it has today purchased 40,000 of its Ordinary Shares at an aggregate price of 440.50 pence per share to be held in treasury.

Following settlement of this purchase on 25 May 2018 the issued share capital of the Company will be 39,279,620 Ordinary Shares, excluding 2,161,662 shares which are held in treasury.  Shares held in treasury do not carry any voting rights; 5.21% of the Company’s total issued share capital (41,441,282 Ordinary Shares, including treasury shares) will be held in treasury following settlement.

For reporting purposes under the FCA's Disclosure and Transparency Rules the market should exclude any shares held in treasury and should use the figure of 39,279,620 following settlement when determining if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in the Company.
