Good sums! Oil majors up another half a % so should be a NAV back over 85p tomorrow.

NAV is 84.93 COB yesterday - the income part is worth 1.01p A week previously the income part was worth 0.95p - so its risen by 0.06p in a week. Assuming no divis were received in that time, then I guess the rise is due to the option premium being accrued - which would make the sold options worth roughly 3p per annum.

It's possible, but selling covered calls is more likely to produce underperformance towards the end of a steep market rise. Is that what you think has happened somewhere?

BRCI were "Option Writing" is it possible they've been the wrong side of a recent move or two?

83.8p, & I'd wager nearer 85p tomorrow. Discount getting wider.

Really should be higher off back of oil - top equity holdings: RDSB Exxon RIO BLT BP. Only RIO of that lot isn't a big oil producer - and it's up 1.3% this morning.

Gold has been perky of late and oil has strengthened this week. $1255(£1010) and $54.50.

Getting a slight feeling of "ship of fools" and us all being wrong together, but hard to argue with discount to NAV.

this is one of my larger holdings already, but at these levels quite tempted to add further

Bought more too, 73.5p so well inside the spread & must be a seller around (was 72/75.5 when I bought). I'm guessing today's NAV RNS going to be over 80p (from Fri) & may perhaps be dipping under 80p for the report tomorrow, but now feels "cheap".

big mark down seems overdone to me, so I have bought some more this morning. big oil down 1%, miners down 2% & gold miners up 1% so 4% fall seems excessive.

Shell and BP 4qtr dividends due to be paid in by the 27th and 31st of March respectively. Theres now room to start increasing the dividend with most co's increasing or restarting.

well, last nights NAV was 83.09, so first part of my assumption played out. I guess the oil inventories out at 2.30pm will decide teh path that big OIL will take for the rest of the day...

Anyone noticed China hording copper above LME levels, the last time this happened was because China wanted enough inventory to fuel expected demand due to a huge build knowing it would be paying higher prices later with copper increasing. htTps://www.woodmac.com/blog/china-copper-three-reasons-to-be-cheerful-2/ Copper could be about to go on a huge run as I'm thinking copper is just waking up from the bear run. htTps://www.forbes.com/sites/kenkam/2017/03/21/china-unleashes-a-major-copper-bull-market-for-the-second-time/#e4108ff7cc10

SpectoAcc - you are probably right, as it also has about 15% in (rising) gold & silver miners which will offset general miners loss. I was pitching on the low side so that i could be happy if NAV turned out to be higher!
