thx cc. in theory to be expected, if bb gives an edge, then they have an edge over the rest of the non-bb enabled field.

Looks like Deltatre is gearing up for further expansion which is good news for BIRD: Sports and entertainment media tech vendor has hired James Johnson as its VP of Americas business development in the LIVE Division. Johnson will be responsible for the continued growth of Deltatre’s services across the US, Canada and Latin America. Working primarily in Deltatre’s New York office, Johnson will report to Stefan Eric Wildemann. The exec crosses over from the sports industry. Johnson joins from Major League Baseball (MLB) after almost 14 years with the organisation. In that time he held a range of key positions such as VP of broadcast services and production, and manager of broadcast engineering. He also previously worked for the Chicago Blackhawks as its video coordinator, and as the manager of video coaching for the Chicago Blackhawks, Bulls and White Sox. Johnson said: “I’m delighted to join Deltatre at an extremely exciting time for our industry. I’m looking forward to helping the company grow, using my experience to ensure our clients can provide pioneering and memorable viewing experiences to their users through Deltatre’s rich storytelling capabilities.” Gilles Mas, president of Deltatre’s LIVE Division, said: “We are absolutely thrilled to welcome James to Deltatre. We have an exciting year ahead of us, both in terms of the projects we are delivering and the new relationships we are making in the Americas. Bringing James on board – with his impressive breadth of experience – will only accelerate our plans.” hxxps://www.digitaltveurope.com/2020/02/05/deltatre-hits-home-run-with-hire-of-mlbs-johnson/

In the corporate world people are usually driven by self need and greed. If you view most things through that prism you won't go too far wrong. Talking of which - has Dawn Airey made one iota of difference yet? Is she the one bringing in OEMs with her cloud based connections?

I'm sure it was coincidence a fundraising might have arisen 3-4 months prior to one or more OEM deals. The fact not one deal has been signed since, despite assurances they are playing whack a mole with interested parties, is also unfortunate.

There was an earlier post when the contract was announced but he posted again in September and was obviously still happy. The contract was initially for two locations but from memory there are 14 so if the TownNews model can be applied there are 12 to go... and of course the rest of Disney media!

At least one user was still happy about BIRD two months after he first used it: Kevin Tobin • 3rd+ Rebel Leader deploying Paradigm Shifting Strategies which are revolutionizing the Production-Post Production-Delivery pipeline. 6mo • WOW! What a collaboration I have found myself in: Bridge Digital Incorporated has the vision, Blackbird plc has the paradigm breaking technology and A+E Networks has the leadership and ambition to once again be trailblazers in the Media&Entertainment space.

NickB- this has got to be a major for BIRD. One of main reasons I am here. USP for BIRD. This kind of control over media will be very much a necessity in near future if social platforms are to continue in current form. IMHO

Telegraph “Social media firms will face suspension of their services within months if they host 'harmful' videos Social media giants face an imminent Government crackdown on 'harmful' video content even before a duty of care is passed by Parliament...” “Social media firms will face multi-million pound fines and the suspension of their services for showing “harmful”; videos under a crackdown by Ofcom in just seven months time.” _____________ To think Blackbird video technology which can delete all sharing and copying instances with one delete could help I believe.

Can someone remind BIRD that even if there is an OEM in the works, they are still allowed to sign other deals? Thank you.

SSB. Agreed. This will go wooosh very soon. IM wouldn’t have had the Vox interview encouraging new investors to get on board otherwise. He knows. IMHO.
