Can also be difficult to get into at times if you want quantity.

Remote editing in the Cloud across the globe is resilient.

Coronavirus
London on lockdown move editing to another U.K. city, remote farmhouse or over to the USA Los Angles New York.

Pretty easy to get out of BIRD, they were bidding 250k.

50k offer 14.83p

The same happens with small cap stocks on the main market , of which there are a lot . The market makers try to keep level books in these small illiquid stocks , so fairly small trades can result in big swings in prices . Can’t say I blame them .
They are called “ lobster pot companies “ - easy to get into but difficult to get out of ! Caveat emptor

A huge middle ground of using say an Avid with virtualisation rather than Blackbird if the price is the same even though you don’t need what the Avid brings.

Sure if you have to have Avid then they will have to pay the high price.

However 80% of the editing time could be spent using Blackbird and just finishing done on the Avid.

I’m talking higher end complex productions

"I hear one of the Technical sales executive champions of virtualisation video editing in the Cloud is complaining of the cost that the likes of AWS and Azure are charging.
Blackbird way of working does not have that overhead cost😀"

surely if a client needs high end editors then the choice is between on-premise and virtualisation and bb does not come into it?

"That suggests it’s too expensive to do virtualisation editing in the Cloud"

yup blackbird will always be able to undercut because they use the client device for doing stuff like rendering and only bb codec can do this.

AIM is great isn't it.

All the "selling" and the max offer is 50k @ 14.50p

How many mugs have been fleeced.

Cloud Providers: you *really* want to grow virtualization for Media & Entertainment?

2 things to work on immediately:

1. Block storage should not be several hundred dollars per TB. M&E needs block, not object.
2. Egress at ~$75/TB is wildly inappropriate.

All good questions bonio.

I honestly don't care for the no honest discussion brigade. IM has made promises and not delivered as yet, let's hope that changes.

I have come to the conclusion that it’s better to let some investors spend their time worrying and being unhappy.

At the end of the day you either believe in Blackbird or not.

You also need to be experienced in the stock market

People seem to forget they have signed 5 year contracts with the likes of Bloomberg. The tech is obviously the bo$$ocks. Have a bit of faith.

NickB Yes, the market is down though compared with Spanish Flu which infected some 350M people of which some 75M+ died, coronavirus is serious but not yet of the same order. It is down but not to the same extent as BIRD which has experienced a fall in the last month (not from the highest point which occurred more recently) of over 4x the AIM average. The number of sales is comparatively small compared with the number of shares now in issue but the reason for the fall is presumably the lack of buyers even at the lower prices. Miton may want to sit tight but they will have recent examples of what happens to funds invested in illiquid, underperforming stocks in mind as will the regulators which have been heavily criticised for inaction.

A turnaround will only come when BIRD publishes regular news of wins. It doesn't have to be on a full blown RNS scale but that would be very welcome. The absence of such copy just means that the prudent assumption is that the concentration on OEMs has drained resource away from winning smaller deals of, say, £50K-£75K and that there is actually nothing to report. The recent advert for a Strategic Account Director for the UK and Europe could be construed as confirmatory evidence that sales on our door step are disappointing.

I'm hanging on in the hope that BIRD will deliver something substantial in April.

IM wouldn’t hint and tease if he had any doubts. The man is a professional and wouldn’t want to tarnish his reputation. For all we know a Twitter deal is on the cards. Could takes months with POC etc. Who knows.

Which is why they shouldn't have been dangling deals since Nov 18 to investors.

Again - I didn't have meetings with non-shareholders and smile as I mentioned 7 figure deals.

I also didn't mention major launchers of the BIRD player at major industry events etc.

Cloud sales guys can now point to operation resilience not having to rely on people needing to get to work places as an advantage of Cloud editing/remote working.

Sustainable green working is also becoming a hot topic in media industry

All good for us

Don't worry - I am looking forwards.

It is the company that has dug this hole for itself with multiple statements and nudges and winks it is failing, so far, to deliver on.

I didn't make IM tweet from the USA outside various companiies/stands.

You are looking backwards some of us are looking forwards into a high growth market.

You seem very stressed this week and questioning your investment, understandable in this global sell off but it’ll pass.
