This will not go anywhere until the uncertainty around the litigation is sorted.

Co. is profitable and and they can cover divi. comfortably but what they cannot stand are the persistent problems they get when they mess up on projects.

This will hold them back alone as the one thing that serious investors hate is uncertainty!

Think about it, they will probably make £200K profit on the Farm scheme. If they build on a silage pit or knock a prize bull or two over with their crane then, BINGO! profit straight down the toilet and a few months in court!

Should have expected some selling to day as it's three days after 'ex' divi date. Most people don't realise you can sell on the 'ex'.So now they are out of the way(perhaps a few more tomorrow) we should see a return to overall buying.
Talking about dividend it's now over 8% !! Gotta wait a year for it tho.

This should bounce from here for no other reason than the drop is overdone in my opinion....this is a profitable company when all is said and done regardless of litigation.

ps, the 16k trade was my buy

It went through Robbie Burn's stop loss of 13p hence a stream of small sells.

Thanks noiseboy, sounds likely since it usually goes up when he announces a buy. Surely this must be a good buying opportunity at present though if you intend to hold longer term.

Absolutely Chrissey; I don't know why Mr Peter Birse doesn't return as non exec Chairman and replace the Chief Exec etc. There are plenty of good construction industry managers out there with a lot of 'hands on' experience that could do a better job than Mr Budden imho. I would guess that the trouble is that he is an accountant by training? Mr Birse has most to lose or gain.
