Alchemy - when you finish cooking (and I hope that it is tasty) and you answer Pilkington's request to expand on the Patel point can you kindly advise whether Patel's slide/graph estimated the number of shares that might be issued within his model when he estimated that the market cap in 2009 might be £500m.

Schull69 -can you help with this point?

Schull and other serious holders and investors,
Many of us on this thread have lemented the lack of insider purchases (not options, but open market share purchases).
Schull's post along with Alchemy and Nick refer to share purchases by Mr. Hemming and Mr Head of Dexo. Correct me if I'm wrong, but both those purchases were announced and made in the first half of this year, correct?
I have acquired additional shares beginning this past August. I shall not make any additional purchases unless there are significant 3rd party deals announced, and/or there are insider buys.
BTW, with each attempt to interest US fund managers who buy small cap international growth shares, the key objection I can't overcome is the lack of insider buying / ownership. That will likely be overcome in time with the success of the business model, but for now, I'm stymied.
I simply don't understand why in a group of at least a dozen people closest to the company's operations and strategic workings there are not a few (or many)who choose to buy the stock.

Who knows, maybe after the interims.

Thank you all who took the time to report on the EGM.
Thanks also Inghu for all your efforts and the new thread. Regards.

All:just a couple of details I picked up to add to Nick and Alchemy's reports:
1:in an answer PI said that the company had been recently inpected by MHRA(Medicines and Heathcare products Regulatory Agency)and were found to be 100% satisfactory.RT empasised that this is extremely rare and was echoed from the floor by Dr Jim Murray(S hire and our Advisory Panel).
2:I spoke with the latter afterwards and to my question he said that the Panel meets quarterly and is made up of medical people who are'..at the cutting edge of what patients need'.To my leading question:'You would not be involved with Meldex unless you thought it was going places' his reply was 'Absolutely'.
3:HP's slide showed a graph which displayed the co's financial position from 2005 to 07 showing a current market cap of 100 million and then 250 million for 08 and 500 million for 09.I'm not a finance person but I believe the two last figures are expectations but how arrived at I do not know (can another attendee elucidate?)
4:the presentations pointed out to me the importance of the OTC market worth globally 53bn euros of which Europe has 36%.Someone in the group I was in post-meeting said that he had noted Boots were moving much more into an advisory role as continental pharmacies operate.
5.On my way out Ispoke with the head of Dexo who emphasised how happy he is with his purchase of shares.
6:SM was as ebullient as ever about the company...we are'on track with development in the Middle East.....on track with our partners.'

I came away very pleased with the presentation and convinced that my patience will one day be rewarded....I hope it's not too far away for all of us.
Regards.

aflynn - walking is increasingly tough! - I told Daisy Robinson [RT's PA] that I might not make next June's AGM unless RT gets the share price up so I can take a taxi from my home to the venue, direct ! LOL

yes but ... that was a clear typo and if 'pivotal' is a typo they wouldn't have made the same misteak twice!

Time to move over to Inghu's new thread and relegate this one to the archives.
