23/3/2021 07:18 | Every little helps | marmar80
23/3/2021 07:11 | Nice rns boosting bioplastics sales and some extra revenue for the rf division too. Looking good imo. | jmf69
21/3/2021 22:45 | If they really can be left there to degrade in the forest then it's a super product. | marmar80
21/3/2021 21:00 | Lets hope so this time | thordon
21/3/2021 19:51 | The tree protector is a new material and does not need collecting otherwise what's the point. | jmf69
21/3/2021 16:30 | Biome bioplastics used accelerated ageing as part of phase 1 in the labs. Now for the extensive field trials but they did not give any time scales for commercialisation. I agree they had many products years ago and all the hype did not deliver anything. However the market has changed now and plastic waste is public enemy number 1 with Companies and customers looking for viable alternatives with end of life a key concern. Bring forward the circular economy and Biome bioplastics could do really well. There needs to be the infrastructure in place to collect the bioplastics as part of the food waste with industrial composting facilities. Improved labelling for the bioplastics packaging will also be required. Unfortunately the UK is still a way off and USA is doing well for Biome bioplastics and a much bigger market. | jmf69
21/3/2021 11:53 | The current tree planting will be mature trees before they get the trial finalised. I'm in the Forest and everywhere, including a lot of new sites, is already planted and protected with the regular shielding. | vaneric1
21/3/2021 11:02 | Any thoughts , we are in the second stage and below indicates a further funding with no date of trial ending. Have assumed 3 to 5 years , any takers to clarify. "Should this initial feasibility project prove successful, the Company may apply for further funding from SBRI Phase 2 in early 2021. It is envisaged that subsequent funding would be used to conduct extensive field trials." | thordon
21/3/2021 10:59 | Like every dog has its day so Biome's could be finally arriving too. Fingers crossed. | marmar80
21/3/2021 10:58 | I only need it do 4x to be back in profit haha | marmar80
21/3/2021 10:55 | Lets hope marmar80 all come good this time | thordon
21/3/2021 10:44 | The timing wasn't as favourable as nowadays so technically now there is a bit higher chance to find a buyer. | marmar80
21/3/2021 10:30 | I lost track of how many products they suggested were going to be a big success, the tree stuff was one of many, I think probably more than five years ago. Anyone remember the packaging stuff, Frog pack or something like, it was going to revolutionise the parcels industry but seems to have disappeared quicker than it arrived. Of course there was also the carrier bags which were handed over toe the French supplier. Also remember the patent fight with the Italian company on which they spent a fortune with only limited success. And the coffee pods? | vaneric1
20/3/2021 23:01 | Can't remember them in trees back in the days, but maybe forgot. I'm in here for a very long time and approx 80% down. Maybe one day the sun will start shining over the old biome. | marmar80
20/3/2021 21:47 | Biome did venture into trees over five years ago and failed , lets hope that this will succeed. My only problem with tree division is time scale , the five part experiment is based over 3 to 5 years to see if the product degenerates back into the soil. We are now in the 3rd scale of that development. As for SYM , my head says invest but back of me says no Its still plastic and will always be | thordon
20/3/2021 11:10 | I think theit main focus is shifting towards the trees as there is a limited competition plus long standing link with the government (funding). | marmar80
20/3/2021 10:58 | I wouldn't say the main focus is tree shelters. Most of the bioplastics revenue comes from the USA compostable coffee pod market. They are trying to commercialise a tree shelter product using the new lignin based technology. https://biomebioplas | jmf69
20/3/2021 10:23 | Somebody doesn't like the hemp idea I suppose. Can u comment why? I'm not invested in any cannabis company so its clear, but You will see world moving to hemp made products after covid. | marmar80
20/3/2021 10:11 | Biome £8m mcap. No debt. Around £2.7m cash.Problem - cash burn in the recent years was higher than profits.Chance1. - world is moving to reduce usage of oil made plastics, impose additional fees on plastic made products and look for alternatives like bioplastics. Chance2. - global pollution level pushes governments to subsidise trees planting. Now the expectations are high for the Bioplastics division in 2021, but financial results for 2020 won't be great. FY results in about 1-2 weeks. | marmar80
20/3/2021 09:57 | For new comers. Biome Technologies has two main divisions: Biome Bioplastics and Stanelco RF Technologies.First established around 20 years ago is mainly focused now on tree shelters, but is also producing on a low scale plant based bioplastics for some clients.I hope they will listen and start developing hemp based bioplastics. Best for the share price would be to produce tree shelters from cannabis. Second one was established around 80 years ago. Stanelco RF Technologies designs, builds and services advanced radio frequency (RF) systems. Dielectric and induction heating products are at the core of a product offering that ranges from portable sealing devices to huge furnaces for the fibre optics market. Here are the hopes around high speed internet and some contract to be signed with a big telecom. If no chance for that, would say, better sell this division and focus on bioplastics only. | marmar80
20/3/2021 09:25 | Generally I would say Biome Plastics compostable plastics are more accepted than SYM products. Hence SYM taking EU to court over banning their products. Biome Plastics latest research into using lignin with waste product from the paper industry etc will remove this issue as a concern. There is lot's of information on the website. | jmf69
20/3/2021 09:17 | A couple of question to long term holders, how does BIOM compare to SYM? Tech is different and maybe BIOM's will be more accepted. What volume of biomass is needed to produced x volume of bioplastics ? I have concerns BIOM are using food stocks to produce bioplastics. | hatfullofsky
20/3/2021 09:01 | To expand quicker Biome could reach out to them https://www.ifre.com | marmar80
