14/6/2019 07:10 | 'The Board now expects revenues for the Bioplastics division for Q2 to be approximately GBP0.75m (Q1 2019: GBP0.6m; Q2 2018: GBP0.5m).' Hmmm, the BIOM Board and their expectations? Strange update with only 2 weeks of Q2 left | begorrah88
04/6/2019 08:18 | Watch out Mr Mines she's coming to get you. :-) | vaneric1
07/5/2019 13:43 | Biome do not 'make' anything. They occasionally supply some raw materials that could make a biodegradable product. | heeley3
06/5/2019 23:33 | anyone know if biome do biodegradable wipes? got to be a big market for these but no doubt biome will miss the boat on this | johncasey
01/5/2019 17:01 | Paul Mines, CEO of Biome Bioplastics and member of BBNet’s Management Board, added: “The report provides an important roadmap for the ongoing bioplastic industry investment in capacity, raw materials and research and development in compostable plastics. It also gives an indication of likely flows for both the waste and resource recovery industry and local authorities as they reconfigure collection and treatment models to accommodate compostable materials.” | michaelmouse
24/4/2019 19:56 | They receive 50/60 enquiries pm yet only turns into 1 or 2 leads and the phone goes to voicemail.I wonder if those 2 points are connected?Same old, same old at Biome | begorrah88
24/4/2019 11:16 | Feedback from AGMMyself and one other shareholder attendedJohn Standen and Paul Mines spokeQ. How does your revenue stream work?Biome works with customer companies or converters(recycling company) to create required bio packaging Primary manufacture (bioplastic granuals) occurs in SouthamptonSecondary manufacture (bioplastic ready for customer) happens at outsourced manufacturer in either Germany or US depending on end customer.Biome buys manufacture time, with manufacture runs occuring roughly every 3 monthsBiome faces the customer and deals with manufacturing and packaging queriesBiome pays manfactuer and gets paid by customerThe above allows flexibility in terms of where end clients needs product. Example provided where US client had originally planned to rollout new bio packaging in US initially but has recently changed tack and will rollout in Europe first. So manufacture will now take place in Germany.Q. Is cash / working capital situation sufficient for upcoming 12 months business?Based on above outsourced bioplastics model, R&D commitments and current RF book of work, yesThey receive 50/60 enquiries per month but only lead to 1 or 2 firm follow ups. This is due to product or size requirements.US and particularly California are by far biggest market. US customers are further along with willingness to adopt / use bioplastic packaging.UK/Europe still struggling to get more customers on-board despite pressure from consumers and governments.Q. How dependent are they on other Bioplastics companies for opportunities, example their collaboration with Futamura? This partnership appears to be outlier as they operate in different segments of bioplastics. The norm is to get enquiries for help from converters or existing end clients.Query raised about calls to Biome going voicemail not being picked up promptly. Doesnt create good impressuon if you areporential customer. Declan, FD to follow up.New products, particularly pod based, coming on stream this year will push further Bioplastics growth.RF already flagged that revenue will not match last year, more likely repeat of 2017 despite good level of enquiries.398000 shares voted in all resolutions which were all passed | isf7boa
24/4/2019 10:22 | Can you ask about the futamura cooperation??With natureflex | jmf69
24/4/2019 08:26 | It looks to me like RF will fall off after a very good year. There is still potential in Bioplastics but difficult to predict how significant this could be. | amt
24/4/2019 08:18 | My take is that the rf division will provide steady income while the bioplastic division ramps up over the next few years. It's gonna take time but potentially huge. | jmf69
24/4/2019 07:27 | A struggle - Working hard but forward view still very foggy - (imo) Feedback form AGM (positive r negative would be appreciated) Message received form share price movement over last year - Had been over-hyped but still too much hope value- | pugugly
24/4/2019 07:17 | I may go to the AGM,anyone got any sensible questions? | morgannn
23/4/2019 21:00 | Anyone going to the AGM tomorrow morning? | isf7boa
23/4/2019 17:02 | Check out @MorganStanley's Tweet: | jmf69
28/3/2019 12:55 | They need to start showing some sales traction in the bioplastic division before the share price will respond positively imo | jmf69
28/3/2019 07:56 | Good results but outlook looks poor especially in fibre business where big fall off expected. The coffee stuff launch seems to keep moving back. Gone from Q4 2018 to Q2 2019. Increased costs also. | amt |
