24/1/2019 14:14 | post 1031- Welcome back to the conversation cupcake. I'm so pleased you managed to find the time to post the revenues for the Bioplastics division. Others may have doubted you, but even though you stated twice that you were finished for the day here, I knew you would come good in the end !! Thanks again and best wishes !! | robward
24/1/2019 12:23 | bioplastics don't degrade, and certainly not in the ocean, a_game that's the point of them really, or you'd use soggy cardboard instead in terms of single use plastic use dying off, yep - shame Stanelco seem to be in the single use market | jasperthemonkeygod
24/1/2019 12:10 | Key Fundamentals Total Revenue (£ m) Bioplastics Revenue (£ m) 31-Dec-13 1.98 1.00 31-Dec-14 3.57 1.45 31-Dec-15 4.88 1.87 31-Dec-16 4.59 1.60 31-Dec-17 6.23 2.30 31-Dec-18 8.80 1.90 I have a bit more time today than I thought I would. Since the challenge of finding 6 years of Bioplastics revenues proved too demanding for tiger (takes 5 mins), I've posted them above. Actually not too bad, and although momentum is in it's very early stages you can clearly see a rising trend even in the single serve coffee pod sector. I'd imagine £2.5m bioplastics revenues plus in 2019 is not out the question, although that may prove a very conservative estimate with new projects emerging. We'll have to see what "substantial" equates to in due course. | michaelmouse
24/1/2019 11:12 | I took my money out and reinvested it in Tesco when they had their disaster with the mis-reporting, it's seen a better than 40% profit since then, I've top sliced twice, all my money back and still hold some showing a 33% gain. | vaneric1
24/1/2019 10:38 | 1Y high vol already. Like it! | marmar80
24/1/2019 10:26 | Feel sorry for those who sold earlier - can see this moving back towards 700 pretty quickly over the coming weeks | a_game
24/1/2019 10:19 | Agree. In my company cantine all single use plastic is gone. Some people are already unhappy so they will have to order some bioplastic boxes, plates etc. No other choice. | marmar80
24/1/2019 10:19 | But are they? this is our local 'big corporate' re-using plastic not going bio. hxxps://www.packagin | vaneric1
24/1/2019 10:16 | This year you will see EU countries promoting bioplastic alternatives. Year 2018 and EU directive only started biorevolution. Rest of the world will follow them in the next years.Back in 2000 this sector was misunderstood and then global recession delayed the change in approach. | marmar80
24/1/2019 10:14 | vaneric1 - the odd academic maybe but nothing like the current global awareness of plastics. At the end of the day it's the big corporates ditching traditional plastics for alternatives that will drive large scale demand. This is now happening - it certainly wasn't even 5 years ago. Take Sky News - they've had their 'Ocean Rescue' campaign recently. | a_game
24/1/2019 10:10 | a_game they certainly were talking bioplastics in 2000 that's why I bought in, then as now the prospects looked good but they have never come good for Biome and there is huge and growing competition in the field. | vaneric1
24/1/2019 10:04 | post 1019- I'm pleased that you concur with my thoughts re the future of the Bioplastics division. Just a shame you couldn't have made your posts a little clearer re performance of Bioplastics. Anyway, it's been fun conversing with you cupcake ! Have a super day ! | robward
24/1/2019 09:55 | Hope to see much more trades today to build even grater support | marmar80
24/1/2019 09:55 | Whichever way you look at this, it's seriously undervalued. Talking about buying in 2000... no one was even talking about bioplastics then.. the last year or so, global interest & awareness has exploded. Companies are now more conscious than ever about plastic waste and you now even have major supermarkets removing plastic bags (yes, even the 5p ones!) from stores. The demand for bioplastics is only going to grow exponentially YoY. Even a tiny part of this market will be worth multi-millions. Capture this and we're looking at many multiples of today's valuation. The long term growth trajectory is only up imo. Fantastic top up opportunity. | a_game
24/1/2019 09:49 | "post 1015- I had a feeling you wouldn't want to put up the Bioplastics performance." As I said put it up yourself (do you have a problem with that?), as far as Bioplastics is concerned it's about future performance. I'll certainly be watching it closely from 2019 onwards. Just remembered why I rarely post on bb's these days. Good grief tiger! That is definitely it from me for today. | michaelmouse
24/1/2019 09:49 | 3 months chart is looking great now. Support is working. 2-3 months target 700. | marmar80
24/1/2019 09:41 | post 1015- I had a feeling you wouldn't want to put up the Bioplastics performance. Nothing has changed for me either cupcake Have a great day ! | robward
24/1/2019 09:37 | Good point | marmar80
24/1/2019 09:34 | post 1012 - If you wish to put the figures for Bioplastics up on ADVFN then feel free. I don't disagree, but see post 1009. I wrote a blog why Bioplastics is in the company valuation for "free" some time ago:- Incidentally, the RF division excelled this year and will hopefully still do better than 2017 (i.e. £4m revenue) in 2019. That's pretty good I'd say. Nothings changed for me tiger. ;) Anyway that's me done for today. | michaelmouse
24/1/2019 09:31 | Careful with selling when times are globally better for alternatives to traditional plastics. Today is one big top up opportunity imo. | marmar80
24/1/2019 09:21 | post 1009- thank you for confirming my point re timelines slipping. As for momentum going forward from now, only time will tell. post 1011- yes Company turnover growth has been pretty impressive but as you keep alluding to the Bioplastics division, why don't you put a summary of that here ? Perhaps it's because there is no momentum ? As i previously noted... "If, and it's a big if, they get the Bioplastics division on track then the future could be very exciting." | robward
24/1/2019 09:05 | Key Fundamentals Revenue (£ m) 31-Dec-13 1.98 31-Dec-14 3.57 31-Dec-15 4.88 31-Dec-16 4.59 31-Dec-17 6.23 31-Dec-18 8.80 If you look at the table above, you'll see excellent top-line growth since 2013 with a small dip in revenues between 15-16. My guess is a solid revenue performance in 2019 and substantial growth again from 2020. That's the nature of micro-cap growth companies and why it pays to follow the medium to longer term trends. | michaelmouse
24/1/2019 08:56 | What happened to the Europe project. Has that been terminated? | amt |
