"As this latter product moves towards full commercialisation, coffee pods incorporating this material are now being utilised within a first customer's range and are reaching the consumer market. There has been an encouraging response from the market to recent publicity surrounding the use and disposal of coffee cups/lids and the role that Biome's materials can play in this supply chain."

We all know that historically Biome have been a complete waste of time as an investment, however, if and it's a very big IF, they can continue to grow the Bioplastics Division then the future could be very rosy. The most recent update from the Company is quite upbeat in this regard

I have an appropriate holding for the degree of risk.

Spot on Van

We don't post to try and deramp and get in at a lower price just as people who have been burnt by the cyclical nature of Biome's history and as a warning for others.

When I first invested many years ago I ignored some screaming posts saying do not ever buy here.

I wish I'd taken their advice but thought I knew better.

I Completely agree that there could be a massive market but BIOM can't close deals.

It might be that the 'market' has decided it is time for this sector to have a day in the sun as SYM has 3+ bagged recently on very little as well.

We're not bears wigwammer, just old hands at this company.

The price dropped and dropped, they 'consolidated ' the shares and then it dropped and dropped again, so when you see posters referring to 'old money' they mean what it was before the consolidation.

The price was 10p when I bought in in 2006 (Stanelco) it dropped to under 1p Then they had a fund raiser it went down to under a half p

They changed the name in 2010 to Biome and another fund raiser.

Aug 2011 the price is down to 2.2p May 2012 1.2p July 2012 0.08p May 2013 0.06p

Then a 'capital reorganisation' a complicated one which resulted in a holding of 430,000 shares turning into 1770 shares which I dumped in January 2016 at £1.35 each, that single sell knocked the share price on the day down by several points as Beg and SirMark will confirm.

towards full commercialisation was what made me buy here. Would like to know who it is...costa, starbuck, Subway, Macdonaldd? If BIOM can get all these onboard then the company has bright future.

Bioplastics Division Q1 Sales

2014 0.5m

2015 0.5m

2016 0.2m

2017 0.8m

Revenues in the Bioplastics division in Q1 2017 were £0.8m (Q1 2016: £0.2m) reflecting both good demand for commercialised products from the US single-serve coffee market and larger scale manufacturing using the Company's biodegradable non-woven filter for coffee pods. As this latter product moves towards full commercialisation, coffee pods incorporating this material are now being utilised within a first customer's range and are reaching the consumer market. There has been an encouraging response from the market to recent publicity surrounding the use and disposal of coffee cups/lids and the role that Biome's materials can play in this supply chain.

Beg - I have already taken out what I put in and will run the rest on a free.To others here - take what the bears say with a pinch of salt - they couldn't see the value angle at £1 even when it was spelt out to them. Should have gone to specsavers.

"cash plus stanelco valuation probably = current mkt cap so rest is in for nothing"Exactly. Yet the majority here felt it was overpriced at £1, let alone £2+.Madness of crowds.

wiggy

I'd realize that gain if I were you. Seen it all evaporate too many times before.

This is being run up on buttons - quite astonishing how blatantly they have decided to take this up regardless of money coming in.

Best of luck to all holders new & old

I certainly hope that this is based on something - as historically it has consistently never failed to disappoint.... leopards and spots and all that.

Anyway, best of luck to all (especially long suffering) holders
