Chesh is that you? I have a stub of candle if you've got a match. Heard that the fat lady had sung and someone turned out the lights when they left. I figure that now the shorters and derampers have gone, it might be a good time to buy back in - beat the rush as it were. After all, biofuels are the future blah British company blah blah peak oil zzzz green fuel I spy with my little eye government support anything on the telly?

Ahh those were the days.

All you needed was a couple of spanners and some mug to lend you £100m.

Ah, that looks like the ultra modern Energea plant with its continuous flow processing. Shame they never found the right spanner to fix it.

Or should that be behind the sofa? Well the ship had been taking in water for 2 years, so it was just a case of when BFC sank not if.

I imagine it will be a while before post 38000 clocks up, but I will still be posting here de temps en temps Frankie. If BFC have delisted, I suppose the company will be doshing out Happy Shopper Rich Tea nowadays. Supermarkets have never made their own brand Marie or Thin Arrowroot biscuits - now they would be bad.

My handful of shares went down with the ship, playing Rule Britannia as they disappeared beneath the waves.

Advfn appear to have changed the software so that delisted companies no longer appear on a monitor which is a pain (well as least it is for me).

Can still get to this thread via the FBB or PBB option. Wonder if anyone will ever post again?????

markfrankie - I've been away so only just read your comment. Have you spoken to them now???? I'd be interested to know what they had to say!!!! My guess is that it was just a call to info you of the situation regarding the delisting. Even though I hold my shares in nominee accounts I've started getting phone calls informing me of important voting issues from various other companies. I monitor the news on my shares but some folks obviously don't.

Hey the BB hasn't been cancelled too you know! I was on me hols when BFC was put to sleep. It's a shame the company is deed, but sad too that such a legendary bulletin board has died too.

Jabuk's thread has survived for 3 years with an average of around 33 posts per day including weekends and suspension days. To honour such a history of contributions it would be nice to quote past posts, whether prophetic, poetic or pathetic. I hear Mujahid2 is still buying and making profit on these - just one character in a play which deserves to be serialised IMHO, DYOR.

Boffster, I agree with the maths, and did the same thing witht the same result in 37157. and I would argue that value if I were an earls nook holder and was offered less for my shares.

Barclays (or one of their subsids) has stated that they will form an exit route for earls nook holders, which I would think probably initially means a cash offer (this is my opinion by the way, not a known fact, although I would have thought that would be obvious without me having to state it).

I hope earls nook shareholders will post on here any communicatioin they get from any Barclays subsid (probably the majorty btl holder, Broomco Ltd.) since these things won't be made public via rnss anymore.
