Thanks meijiman, hope so :o)

I was interested to see the healthy growth in profits and margins at SFR today. The last interims from BILN showed a good increase in revenue and they said that the forward order book was the longest in the group's history, and that H2 was set to be very busy.

Profits advanced at a more modest level than revenue, so if the profit growth seen at SFR is sector wide, BILN could be in a position with both strong advances in revenue and margins which is powerful combination.

Bought back in here this morning, with EBT finishing their share disposal and upbeat results from SFR this morning, it seemed an good home for some of the AVS proceeds.

Yes I've always thought BILN was a better company than Sev but may need to review. Anyway as they say -all boats rise with the tide. Still puzzled why BILN decided to shoot itself in the foot.Hopefully the share price will perk up towards 300p now.

SJ above "I'm passing the baton for now!"

Changed my mind having read Severfield results and added a few on the bell - seller in the market at top end of 240s (purchaser of EBT stock making a quick turn?)

Severfield strong results were margin rather than revenue so potential read through

Billington vs big brother Severfield - gap opening (mainly due to EBT selling from May

Good read across from Severfield (SFR). Excellent half year results and "comfortably ahead" for full year expectations.

Looks like a seller in the background at around 236 as easy to buy volume
Probably EBT buyer making a quick turn for 15%

Back in first thing now that the seller has cleared. Sold out at 235p & back at 234.9p lol. Always happy with the fundamentals and this is definitely one of the better boards. GLA

bamboo2 - i had also been looking at the trades - i think the issue is that the 176993 is offset by 84000, 31000 and 20000 all reported on Tues and the 35993 reported yesterday. They are all reported as sales but in reality half are buys.

PJ, I'm slightly confused, because I calculated that the larger sales over the last few days were approx equal the total holding previously announced on the 15th. I guess there must have been someone else selling, or I misread/miscalculated.

Maybe investors have done what I originally did, and only read the first paragraph resulting in thinking they still have 186k they want to dispose of? :-/

MMs must be rubbing their hands with glee, nothing they like better than a gyrating share price especially where they've been able to buy a wheelbarrow full low and then able to quickly work the price back up on minimal buying. Aren't they just lovable!
