22/4/2020 14:01 | Thanks CJohn. I appreciate that. I was just thinking if there might be future dividends if in this climate the last two businesses take time to sell. We haven't been told how onerous financially it would be to remain listed or given anything else concrete to make me want to support it. As far as I'm concerned it will be negative. | plasybryn
22/4/2020 13:20 | Hi Plasybryn, the special dividend is paid on the 30th April into your ISA. But the company remains listed till the 11th May, if the vote is to de-list. | cjohn
21/4/2020 19:26 | I think I might as well. It's not as though the remaining last two businesses are sold. And that not be easy in this market. Could take sometime. Therefore perhaps the de-listing is premature. Any dividend in the ISA is tax free. | plasybryn
21/4/2020 19:11 | I have voted against the delisting. | this_is_me
21/4/2020 14:53 | It's part of the company wind up - no point having a listing, if the company's not continuing. Also meeting the various regulatory requirements for a listing comes out of our cash. Your broker can move the stock across from your ISA account to a dealing account. I do appreciate the loss of tax advantages though. | cjohn
21/4/2020 12:51 | Given the loss of ISA status by de-listing, I'm not yet convinced that is the right thing to vote for. Looking forward to the bumper payout next week. (30th) | plasybryn
19/4/2020 08:23 | Yes, voting for the de-listing. But not buying more. Already have enough. Plus there are many other opportunities at present. | cjohn
17/4/2020 18:19 | Not buying. I have the right amount for me. An OK if it comes to nothing amount. | eezymunny
17/4/2020 17:48 | I presume you are voting for the de listing to go through | plasybryn
17/4/2020 17:47 | So are you guys buying more at these apparent bargain prices? | plasybryn
17/4/2020 16:58 | Yes, I've probably erred on the pessimistic side. Good point re how easy to wind up. But winding up the two businesses you have to deal with all the liabilities, yet all the assets, apart from receivables and cash are likely to come to nothing. The fixed line business is almost certainly unprofitable. | cjohn
17/4/2020 14:41 | I think your wind-up numbers are way too big. The biggest unknown for me is the detail in contracts between BILL and the remaining LEC's and therefore how easily that part of the business could be wound up if it becomes unprofitable (as seems almost inevitable). There's a chance of no further return after the 2.9c/share but selling for 0.4p looks an act of utter madness to me given the risk/reward. I can see the possibility of everything from zero to another 6p/share being returned. We have precious little information to be smarter than that. Selling for 0.4p when the outcome is 0-6p seems bizarre to me. | eezymunny
17/4/2020 13:11 | CJohn kindly took time to compose a reply with even personal details and express his opinions for which I was grateful. He can't comment on things no one knows the answer too. But thank you for your concern that I might be misled. | plasybryn
17/4/2020 13:02 | I don't think think it's a great reply Plasybryn. There are no numbers. No estimates of probability of sales. No estimates of wind up costs etc etc. All this "in view of the administrative complications of not being able to hold the de-listed BILL in an ISA" is irrelevant. A broker will simply move the shares to a non ISA account. You need to think for yourself and stop asking advice on bulletin boards IMO. | eezymunny
16/4/2020 23:33 | Thanks. Great reply CJohn. | plasybryn
16/4/2020 17:23 | Presumably you all think it is worth hanging onto the shares even though they will be de-listed, as we wait for the last two legs of the business to be sold. | plasybryn
07/4/2020 16:05 | It's ex dividend for 2.9c tongosti Durrrr.... | eezymunny
07/4/2020 15:34 | Ah dear - another dog of a stock. Those who were congratulating themselves on a few zillion shares a while back have been totally screwed (AGAIN) by Mr Market. Respect risk or go home ladies! | tongosti
02/4/2020 18:36 | I would say between 0 and 4p, take your pick. If you are risk averse sell before delisting. | scorpio51
02/4/2020 18:07 | Is 0.75p fair value for what is left? Anyone got a view on the sum of the remaining parts? | plasybryn
02/4/2020 17:59 | Wonder what the prognosis is here going forward. Think it could be highly volatile for the rest of the month. Tho you probably be able too buy more than you can Sell.. | ironstorm |
