14/12/2018 15:28 | Wouldn't surprise me to see Ruffer sell his stake at any price Institutions do NOT like being lied to I fancy Stanford will not get the backing of institutions in future placings after this Horlicks | nico115
14/12/2018 15:11 | Will Miton ,Ruffer and the three other institutions just sit idly whilst losing their investors fortunes here Stanford and the BOD have to be accountable for lying to the placees about current trading I will be writing to the FCA about events here and will not allow what has happened to just be ignored Anyone know who I should speak to at Sharesoc as I hear they are good at dealing with these sort of happenings | nico115
14/12/2018 09:58 | Wouldn't surprise me if Ruffer it Miton contact the Fca as Bilby directors will have known about the profit shortfall when the placing occurred Wow they hid it all in the meetings they had !! | nico115
13/12/2018 08:05 | If management can be trusted this is cheap and will rally to 100pTrust is the key here | nico115
12/12/2018 23:27 | Do you think Stanford did a good job?Do you think the institutions are happy with the placing at 100p weeks before this profit warning ?Do you think the management can be trusted with their second half growth story?Did Stanford or the mgmnt tell the placees that Northland's first half profit forecast wouldn't be met? And if not why not?Do you think there should have been a trading update warning of a shortfall ? | nico115
12/12/2018 14:08 | Thx PodgyHe's been let down like us allJust be nice to trust and have faith in our directors !!Let's see Ellingham buy stock having told institutions to pile in at 100p!! | nico115
12/12/2018 13:37 | ST in I/C "Ultimately, the question is whether Bilby can make up the first half shortfall and deliver growth on its record performance it achieved in the 2018 financial year? I think it can after taking into account the contribution from the acquisition of R. Dunham, the cost savings that have already been realised, and the fact that the directors confirm the business has started the second half of the year strongly. I would also flag up that the company has secured a number of contracts since the half-year end which will delivered in the 2019/20 financial year. Moreover, I note that chairman Sangita Shah and non-executive director David Johnson purchased 28,104 and 25,000 shares, respectively, yesterday adding weight to the board's expectations of the company making good the first half profit shortfall. Buy." No mention of his 165p price target | podgyted
12/12/2018 13:20 | Cenkos stubbornly on offer He must have an institutional sell order from one of the placeesWouldn't surprise me if someone contacts the FCA to complain about events here The BOD should resign for not having a trading update with this warning in itNo wonder the figures were delayed Disgrace | nico115
12/12/2018 13:13 | Simon Thompson needs investigated. I am going to see what can be done regarding that situation. Wont be the first time!! | chimers
12/12/2018 12:45 | Discount ?Refresh your screen They have given a 30pct premium !!None of them seem to be adding on this fall so imo had no idea about this profit warning Who put their name to this placing weeks before a profits warning ? Wouldn't surprise me if the institutions contact the Fca or at the bare minimum call for the resignation of one or two Board members | nico115
12/12/2018 12:42 | Who stuffed who? Going from memory the institutions got the shares at a very significant discount. One thing to bear in mind is the institutions may have been aware of the marginal shortfall in the first 6 months - their time horizon is many years - but not anticipated the drastic market reaction. The market is very different now than it was a few months ago. | podgyted
12/12/2018 12:41 | What did he say ? | nico115
12/12/2018 12:41 | Of awful figures that didn't meet expectations Looks to me like directors have looked after the founder rather than the institutional buyers in the placing It's an utter disgrace | nico115
12/12/2018 12:39 | "I'm looking at this as an opportunity, revenues down 5pct, dividend maintained, profit before tax £2.4m, visibility over the second half remains strong, EBITDA will exceed the previous years. Must be a buying opportunity at these levels"Figures didn't meet expectations, debt is 4.4m out of a 5m facility ,no executive directors buying, placing of stock when directors knew a warning was coming,no trading update to warn | nico115
12/12/2018 12:38 | ST just reiterated his buy recommendation. | podgyted
12/12/2018 12:35 | I'm looking at this as an opportunity, revenues down 5pct, dividend maintained, profit before tax £2.4m, visibility over the second half remains strong, EBITDA will exceed the previous years. Must be a buying opportunity at these levels. | 1bond
12/12/2018 12:16 | Only non execs !! Where's ellingham and other exec buys??It's a disgrace to stuff institutions in before a profit warning I think there will now be an overhang of Upto 5 institutions stock who won't trust this management and why should they ?!! | nico115
12/12/2018 11:44 | And don't tell me mgmnt wouldn't have known these figs when the placing took place The BOD should be ousted and replaced with more trustworthy people Disgraceful behaviour if you ask me | nico115
12/12/2018 11:28 | Management didn't place any shares with Institutions. The previous CEO and family sold shares which is very separate. The former CEO's wife still owns 7pct 2.8m shares and still has an interest. New management just bought shares so that's a positive statement and nothing to do with trust over the actions of the founder selling his shares and retiring. | 1bond
12/12/2018 11:14 | VictorAgreed but how can you trust management who place stock with 5 institutions and have a profit warning weeks later ? | nico115
12/12/2018 11:13 | Just noticed 2 directors bought shares yesterday thought shares may have gone better on that. | victor2
11/12/2018 13:50 | Sorry for those that drunk the cool-add and still hold. Selling on trend breaks has saved me a small fortune this year on many, many shares. I got a lot of stick when I sold much higher on the various boards but Always respect trend breaks now. Whether market or company specific what mattered was big buyers were not willing to support the share price | davr0s
11/12/2018 12:26 | Ok so revenues and EBITDA will still be ahead in the current year. But they will have the benefit of 4 months of trading from R. Dunham which might have a nice chunk of earnings from contract timings. The MOD work presumably was unprofitable and they say they are now working on final accounts. My guess is for the final results they will classify this as a discontinued activity or otherwise separate out the MOD work so they can treat the losses as exceptional and not part of the underlying EBITDA. Also slightly concerning that trade receivables have risen despite revenue falling and stand at over 90 days. Holders presumably like the buy and build story but I won't be buying the shares. | danny baker
11/12/2018 11:24 | Chimers 2000 posts knocking all companies !! Means he's a buyer !! A v good deramper seen in tern at 2p before they jumped to 55p!!Back Ruffer sterling and Miton or back chimers ??!! Lol | nico115
11/12/2018 11:14 | Also bought a small amount here With eps of 13p a pe of 5.5 is v mean for a company with such a strong foothold in the south Director buying would be nice | nico115 |
