18/12/2006 11:31 | Checked level 2 a few times this morning : very tight market : spread only .50p at the moment which is a bit unusual : if the 2357 @ 621 goes, there's nothing between there and 625. | bluebelle
18/12/2006 10:24 | jaykay Did it mention possible bidders ? Certainly given their history I've always presumed that they would be looking to sell out at some stage and that that was always going to provide some added interest but haven't heard of anything specific. | bluebelle
18/12/2006 09:33 | beechtree Spoke to the company on Friday and they claimed to know of no reason. Having excluded everything else I thought there must either be a REITS announcement due, but this rose by consierably more than the sector on Friday, or a leak about some positive press comment, neither of which seems to have been the case. Just one of those things I guess : certainly not much sign of significant profit taking this morning. | bluebelle
18/12/2006 02:12 | Couldn't find anything significant in the press, heard it was mentioned on working lunch friday ( after the rise ) didnt see it but obviously others are seeing this companys potential ! Good luck all holders! | sam66
17/12/2006 18:24 | Just read an article in the Sunday Times saying that David Ross one of the directors has been buying large amounts of shares. I cannot find this info anywhere. Can only find info on directors selling recently. Can anyone help. | brandon
15/12/2006 17:13 | sam That's why I mentioned time scale. Unless you have a short term view, I think it's always better to buy on strength even if you do sometimes drop a few pence in a short term correction afterwards. The last daily rise as big as this in % terms was (I think) in April when it jumped 28 to 408. I bet a lot of people thought they'd missed the boat then (especially as it was down to 385 a month later, as the overall market fell) but I suspect no-one who bought at 408 thinks now that they overpaid !!! | bluebelle
15/12/2006 17:02 | Thank you for asking the company, I am confident the share price will continue rising long term so added a few more just before close, have made a good profit so far and if it does drop a little next week I can add some more ;) | sam66
15/12/2006 16:28 | sam IMHO it depends on your time scale. The co. doesn't know what caused today's rise (so they say) so unless bid rumours appear in the weekend press it would be surprising if there wasn't some profit taking on Monday but in anything other than the very short term, my view is that there is a lot more to come and I'm holding. | bluebelle
15/12/2006 15:57 | Hi Jay Very pleased would like to know why the jump cant find anything yet ! Been wanting to buy more and put a buy order in yesterday at the open price after it had risen 5 p for 100 £/p but the price stade up so it didnt get filled wish I had paid the extra few pence but shouldnt grumble ! Still want some more so the dilemma is, buy now and hope good news comes through to explain the rise or wait till monday for a possiable few points retrace ? | sam66
15/12/2006 15:42 | Sam66 - there she blows!! Would like to know why, as no one in the financial district seems to know... | jaykay1981
15/12/2006 12:07 | I think this is seen as a safe play in the property sector. In one of the fastest growing sectors - storage. People can't afford to trade up or in many cases even get on the ladder. Many middle class twenty/thirty somethings are having to flat share in London and the south east. Their main hope of buying is either to move north or wait until they inherit. Meanwhile they accumulate 'stuff' and it has to go somewhere. | irenekent
15/12/2006 10:18 | Presumably they must have been tipped somewhere or there's talk of a bid : can't see any other explanation for this jump on such small declared volumes : presumably MMs caught a bit short. Closed my December positions yesterday : can't win 'em all and can't really complain given the profit I made : still have a decent 'proper' holding which I intend to hold. | bluebelle
15/12/2006 09:46 | something is up here. no reason for a 3% rise. not complaining though. hope we can hold it this time. usually tails off in the afternoon. fingers crossed! | jaykay1981
15/12/2006 09:15 | Wow - its done it! | the_doctor
14/12/2006 22:13 | looks like 600 could be reached earlyer than we thought with a few more days like today, | sam66
13/12/2006 18:04 | Much better a nice few points this is what this share does so well ! | sam66
12/12/2006 20:31 | I agree I would also be happy with 25 point rise I got stopped out after results so would like to make some of it back, ;) | sam66
12/12/2006 18:23 | It was factored in Sam. A steady rise to 600 will suit me before new year. | jaykay1981
12/12/2006 17:53 | Plenty of movement during the day good to finish up even a small amount considering being 12 points down at 14:45 ! After the good results I expected more of a rise than this . | sam66
30/11/2006 17:00 | mmm, i like that on a day like the FTSE has seen. Anyone know why the late splurge? | jaykay1981
29/11/2006 09:55 | erm..already seems to hav.............toda | badtime
29/11/2006 09:42 | when does this go ex-div? | jaykay1981
29/11/2006 09:34 | Stewpot2 - 26 Nov'06 - 15:51 - 77 of 81 Like you sam I got stopped out when they dipped 25 points on IG. I was showing a profit of £650, and ended up with £220! stewpot Just a fact of life. I've always found it worth moving my stops up to my buying price or slightly above then leaving them there, if at all possible, that way you never let a profit turn into a loss. OK so you made less than you would have done but £220 is worth having and if it had kept on falling you could easily have been £500 down ! Never beat yourself up over what might have been : if in doubt take a profit. | bluebelle |
