I don't know but maybe they will want to hold on for the share price to recover. I don't suppose it matters although an unfriendly takeover is possible by another party if NHN want out. Ultimately it doesn't matter in the longrun.

6gr. My post explains how a takeover by Boku could work. I mentioned £2.30 as a price that Boku could afford in possibly an all share deal. So that way we end up with Boku shares which would then have potential to increase at least 50% on the basis of the combined businesses immediately. So equivalent to £3.30 which I think might be acceptable to Bango. The board members could be offered jobs as would many of the Bango employees in R&D and software development. Then anyone eventually we might get equivalent to 5 or 10 quid from Boku shares.

amt, Nevermind the year end - I can't believe that on the takeover of NTT DoCoMo there weren't a whole raft of warranties including, tax, relating to the businesses being taken over and an accountancy firm/legal firm will have been involved with that.
It's interesting that AIM market and smaller companies in general are 50 year laws and at a 60% discount to where they normally are to the main market. Certainly a lot of companies being snapped up. Just recently my SPE and SMRT shares have been subject to takeover bids. The later has attracted a further offer today at nearly 3 times the recent low price. So companies like Bango and Gresham software are sitting ducks at the moment.

I don't know why everyone is concerned by the II holding disclosures. Some movement between holders alway happens and anything material will be disclosed by the investor (as required for over 3%). Movements of under that amongst a number of holders are not that relevant. What matters to me is a big shareholder selling and no-one buying as that can lead to an oversupply of shares, or a big new shareholder of the type who might instigate a takeover (ie a big tech corporate). Otherwise it's just noise IMHO. They also say on the website that around 1/3rd of shares are privately held. As for NDAs and not disclosing the names, this is very common as many of these companies do not wish to admit they use others software and certainly not the same as their competitors. The suggestion that they are 'hiding' behind NDAs is crazy. If they violated an NDA it would make any future NDA meaningless and they would risk new deals if they did.

When the fin-tech industry takes notice of and understands Bango, and decides it has a unique market proposition, it could get taken out in a heartbeat. Its value is loose change to most mid size players and above. That said, I don’t see the industry taking much notice just yet. Alternative is a merger rather than a takeover, boku being the obvious candidate. It can’t just bumble along the bottom forever. Institutional investors won’t just sit there waiting for godot. Something needs to happen pretty soon!

The AIM market is a disaster. Sopheon gives an indication of how cheap it is. A couple of days ago they announced a takeover at double the current share price. Many companies in the same situation in my opinion, such as SCE, BGO, SEE for example Equals announced a potential acquisition and share price starting to get going.

A low price takeover is my biggest fear, but I think that there's sufficient to prevent that since NHN and the Board together own more than 25% which would be required to agree a takeover. If they all genuinely believe the current growth story and I believe they do, then they'll be waiting for a much higher valuation. It'll be very clear to them that the pathway to substantial profits is very near.
