With their Mankayan Project they have a handy 3.7 million ounces of Gold in the Philippines - someone's going to want that project. Regardless of Mining Taxes, as Gold Soars higher, the project value increases in value.this will become a highly desirable asset.
market cap £2.6m!!!!

Rodrigo Duterte is sworn in on 30th June. Anyone have a more detailed view on his mining policies?

Articles below seems to indicate he is keen for foreign investment & development, within environmental parameters. No mention of tax reform though.

Still, at 2p now, and with 1p of cash in the Balance sheet, this has been substantially de-risked and Mankayan, & Columbia are in for zero, even though Bezant paid $1m to exercise the Columbian option to purchase the platinum asset.

I think Argentina is worthless, but it wudnt take much new news on Mankayan or Columbia to get the price moving - esp as there are so few shares in issue , compared to other junior miners (137m).

Anyone take note of the fact (hidden in the small print) that Ed Nealon put another £137,000 of his own money into the last BZT placing at 4p in December 2015. Now why would he want to do that ?

Andrea - find someone who disagrees with you. Precisely why your fears are probably already in the price.Russman - lol. This clown suggested selling GDP at sub 2.2p. I suspect taking the opposite position to him as a matter of process will net very attractive returns.

Bezant (AIM: BZT), the AIM quoted mineral exploration and development company, announces that, further to its announcements of 16 November 2015 and 22 December 2015, the parties to the Option Agreement (as defined therein) have agreed to extend the Company's option to acquire 100 per cent. of Leeward Islands Exploration LLC (the "Option") to enable the Company to finalise the remainder of its due diligence exercise. Accordingly, the Option is now scheduled to expire on 31 January 2016 (or such later date as the parties may agree) and all other terms announced on 16 November 2015 remain unaltered.

I wud hav preferred to see remaining cash returned to shareholders and the Company wound up. That is what a responsible BOD wud do. NO chance of selling Mankayan, Argie asset a non-starter & who cares about Columbian Platinum ? Ans: No-one.

Comprehensive due diligence on the Leeward Option & a shareholder meeting by 31st Dec. I think they will agree to postpone the expiry date.
