@ kingharold - the relevant RNSs are from 30/08 and 30/11/17. I don't think the terms under which the Omani wealth fund can demand its loan back (rather than convert) are very clear, but I have the impression they have the whip hand.

I've passed.

One of the rare occasions when BB oblique comments are stopping me from buying.
We'll see, later on (today).

Possibly people recognising that the cash value is .20pp and buying in at below that so if it all wraps up theres a profit?

I reckon part of the reason for this week’s upward movement was people like me buying loads at shares at pittance prices to average down what we already hold. I acknowledge it might well be good money after bad.

Yes, you are right Babbler, thanks for the correction (I misread the RNS).
It still doesn’t explain the rise though (unless someone has got some news on the exploitation license/handling radioactive waste license being granted).
Watching with interest. ;@)

The recent Economist article highlights how corrupt Spain is.

It isn't the Greens. It is others just trying to secure the asset for themselves imo.

Valladolid, Dec 21 (EFE) .- The City Council of Retortillo (Salamanca) has issued a resolution that denies the company Berkeley Minera Spain the necessary urban license to begin work on the uranium mine and the concentrate plant.According to the resolution of the Mayor's Office, dated December 19 and to which EFE has had access, the report of the Diputación de Salamanca was taken, reflecting the lack of a report endorsed by a professional association and the affectation of a public domain such as the county road SA-322.The resolution of the mayor's office recognizes that the lands affected by said highway are declared of public utility by virtue of the mining concession in favor of Berkeley and are expropriables, but even the company does not have them.
