22/5/2018 08:46 | So how far of production is the mine? | ukgeorge
21/5/2018 20:13 | As a standard practice you can setup monitoring equipment that would check for any contamination prior to exit of work site at the end of the day. This is not expensive or diifcult. | prem124
21/5/2018 09:23 | Who says I only post bad news stories? A little win for BKY: | langostino
10/5/2018 13:24 | No, the question of the day is should Berkeley 'workers' be allowed to attend open Town Hall meetings in work clothes (and boots) that could be contaminated with uranium? The Mayor of Villavieja has put this question to the CSN. hxxp://www.abc.es/es | langostino
10/5/2018 08:21 | Anyone know the answer to the following three specific questions please: 1. Is Berkeley seeking a Standard or Premium Listing on the Main Board when they migrate from AIM? 2.Who will be advising/sponsoring them on their move to the Main Board/ is it Numis? 3.Which firm/broker/market-m thanks. ALL IMO. DYOR. QP | quepassa
04/5/2018 10:22 | Investing on the back of broker recommendations is the quickest route to penury! | goodgrief
04/5/2018 08:46 | Morning Qp. That is a well-reasoned and sensible post. Loved the mixed metaphors: hot potato and political football.... Basically, BKY is a mining stock which is not yet producing anything. I am a LTH and have confidence that once the mine is in production then the Market will respond accordingly. And that is regardless of a depressed U spot. Good luck to you - Cameco had some good numbers the other day. | rotors
04/5/2018 08:44 | Who is winning? Trabajadores de Berkeley se concentran a las puertas del Ayuntamiento de Villavieja de Yeltes | piedro
04/5/2018 07:58 | Thanks chaps to all those who responded for your valued views and insights and opinions. Appreciated. All interesting points. And Piedro's comments are lot of food for thought. Maybe he is correct and 45p is the base case and 70p was just the spike. Having said that Peel Hunt gave an oft REITERATED BUY recommendation with a Target Price of 90p in the first half of 2017 and clearly got that call badly wrong. As did WH Ireland with TP of 120p in Sep 2016 and FinnCap with a TP of 113p in July 2016. It does not in my view instil much confidence when three brokers get their calls and their Target Prices so very wide of the mark.- Makes you think. It is interesting to note however that Peel Hunt and FinnCap have had their recommendations UNDER REVIEW since August/September 2017 - (which is one heck of a long time for any broker still to have things under review). So still somewhat of a conundrum as to how and why three brokers forecast 90p to 120p in 2016/2017 compared to where reality is in 2018 at 45p, having spiked to 70p a year ago. A uranium mine is a great concept in Europe but not without its significant challenges. As I mentioned a long time ago, anything to do with nuclear can be a real hot potato and political football in the Iberian Peninsula. And for what it's worth, another thing that made me wary was constantly being shouted down by various posters who seem totally intolerant of listening to opinion and discussing valid topics in an open, helpful and cooperative fashion which is , in my view, the true purpose and value of a bulletin board. So good luck to Berkeley and to all investors (including myself with somewhat reluctant indirect exposure to BKY through Geiger) but I remain yet to be convinced and continue putting my direct U308 investments into Cameco and other North American producers/explorers. Good Luck All. ALL IMO. DYOR. QP | quepassa
02/5/2018 16:14 | All uranium shares on fire today! Come on BKY... | ih_374139
02/5/2018 08:41 | The performance from 70 to 45 surely can be explained by the knowledge market has had of a much needed funding. In general upcoming fundings by means of equity (thus dillution) puts pressure on share prices. So I guess that’s a reason. | greedfear
02/5/2018 08:37 | Quepassa- it’s not that easy to explain. I’ve just compared share price performance for BErkeley en Cameco over the last 5 years. Berkeley has gone up something like 85% while Cameco has gone down 45%. Berkeley outperformed. | greedfear
02/5/2018 08:18 | QuePassa, Surely the question should be ... why did the share price spike up to 70p? Why has it come back down? Perhaps the froth has settled. | piedro
02/5/2018 08:04 | I’ve added some. | greedfear
02/5/2018 08:00 | Surely this should be a good day for BKY. | greedfear
01/5/2018 21:26 | do you have a persecution complex? nothing accusatory whatsoever. if you want accusatory, look no further than herlat1 who accuses anyone of being a green who asks probing questions. a straight question - which deserves a straight answer. To repeat, I am asking for comments on the evolution on the major retracement of the share price over the last twelve months which has proved to be very much at odds with the sky-rocket forecasts of the brokers and others. If you hadn't noticed the share price has fallen from 70p to 45p. I am heavily invested in uranium and if we take a share like Cameco, where I have significant holdings, it is effectively flat over twelve months compared to BKY. It is therefore of interest to me and others perhaps to hear views why the BKY share price has performed the way it has over the same time frame, especially from those who have been most vociferous. If no-one else will respond, prey what are your views please, bookworm, on why the share price has retrenched so very much? ALL IMO. DYOR. QP | quepassa
01/5/2018 20:50 | QuePassa - Why on earth would anybody respond to posts written in such an accusatory tone? We all make our own investment decisions and have to live with the results. | bookwormrobert
01/5/2018 14:44 | Haha herlat1 won't respond/comment about the share price. funny old world innit | quepassa
01/5/2018 14:08 | .....then he has been a very sensible guy herlat as he would have lost as much money as most people on this board looking at that chart. Langostino has only summed up the situation without recommending a buy or sell and the odds he has suggested seem pretty fair...which is why I am out also. | marvelman
01/5/2018 13:37 | Haha Lango you were never in! You were shorting last time. | herlat1
30/4/2018 09:50 | This share will either prosper mightily or zero based on an as yet unknown decision of a third party (CSN) over which the company has no control. I would say that makes it pretty difficult to value at this time. Each individual investor can put their own odds on this outcome and act accordingly. Mine remains at 50:50 so I am out. | langostino
27/4/2018 19:35 | thanks chaps but I still do not hear anyone addressing my specific points from post 2056 about the share price . | quepassa
27/4/2018 19:08 | All about the mine ... Minería de Uranio. Proyecto Minero de Uranio en Retortillo, Salamanca | piedro |
