I am pretty confident they are building up quite a diverse portfolio have taken up my full allocation in there open offer and a 1k more not sure I will get them all as Swede's seem to like this company seems to be out of favour with UK investors, freeish money as come from top slicing GGP 3 times.

Caradog, I think you might are-read the news. Holes will still be dug to provide for the anticipated 50% increase in demand for steel. What is excitedly announced often turns out to be tomorrow's fish and chip wrapper......

Time has passed this company by. The absolutely eye-watering investment the Swedish govt has announced in development of iron sponge technology at LKAB and progress in carbon-free steel production means that it is far less likely to allow competition from good old-fashioned hole-digging and transport of unprocessed iron ore.

I may be dead by the time this company ever mines its Iron Ore. As for graphite - well just look at VRS and how it struggles with its Graphene to be accepted by industry. The other project is not for me so I own 1 share and in my Will it has to be burried with me....................the share certificate...............

It looks a better bet now than a few years ago. I was one of the original investors at 1p and bought again at 5p and then sold them all at 20p only to see them rise to over 70p a year later and that is when all the trouble started. I have followed the company ever since and I am thinking of putting my original investment back in again,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,at what price - that is what I am wondering.

hi Alan Like you I have been here a long time and took a big hit selling shares I bought at 50p years ago.I cannot believe the intransigence of the Swedish government (or more like a cabal of interested individuals)almost acting ultra vires. Maybe cV 19 and its pending impact on the economy will twist their arms.Unemployment is as big a curse as COVID. If the government refuses BEM a license and condemns locals, without work in Jovik, they may well vote for an alternative. Power is virtually the only desire politicians crave.IMHO the balance of a decision is increasing into BEMs favour.

COVID has given Kallak an unexpected boost to the value of the mines. Iron-Ore Prices Surge on Impending Demand-Supply Imbalance in Commodity News 08/06/2020 Iron-ore prices are currently trending above $100 per ton and clocked a year-to-date gain of 10%. A surge in coronavirus infections in Brazil has triggered worries of a supply crunch for iron ore, while demand in China remains strong. This has led to the price rally of the steel-making commodity. So far this year, iron ore and gold have been the only metals that have not suffered price slumps in the backdrop of the pandemic.

The Swedes are a funny bunch. They like the Sami, are very environmentally friendly but then hold frequent car rallies featuring dirty polluting old gas guzzlers. It would be logical to think that BEM wouldn’t waste money on further exploration if they thought a permit wouldn’t be forthcoming but actually they might just want to strengthen their hand by enhancing the Kallak cause as being a good commercial proposition.Keeping the pot on the back burner so to speak.Frankly,I reckon the likelihood of a permit being awarded remains about 50:50.Even if a permit is awarded, there’s the likelihood of demonstrations and Sami lying in front of bulldozers.Kallak is a bit like a third Heathrow runway. Its anyone’s guess.

Would there be any point in spending more money on drilling if we were to get some negative response in the Swedish Parliament today. Should they have waited ?

-- Beowulf has awarded a drilling contract to Kati Oy for up to 1,650 metres diamond drilling, targeting additional potential iron ore mineralisation at Kallak South.Nothing to do with the Swedish government. This is simply an award to further investigate the Kallak resource. Its almost taking the proverbial in the way it's worded. My initial thoughts were that the government had finally approved Kallak but that isn't the case that I can discern.

It is said that the most terrifying sentence in the English language is : "I'm from the government and I'm here to help you." What might the equivalent be for the Swedes and might it be even worse......? Ls

I am much the same as you most of my shares are blue chip pay good dividends but boring ,I don’t know how old you are but now I am my age and have no relatives it’s a funny feeling ,all my sixty years of trading I have been exited by investing and making money ( sometimes ) but now as I sit here I have it all and it’s completely useless to me ,I’ve travelled the world more than once ,I have property , I will be Able to afford the most expensive nursing home in the country ,I am a very happy person and have loads of friends who will do very well out of me when I die ,what I am trying to say to you is you don’t know what the future holds for you ,my wife and I had celebrated fifty happy years together when she had a massive stroke she spent fourteen months in a nursing home blind and paralysed down the left side ,we hadn’t planned anything out and suddenly it was too late ,get everything in order power of attorney is very important because everything gets immediately frozen ,I will stop rambling now but hope you get the gist of it ,good luck with your investments ,
