02/6/2015 11:28 | We are holding one of our popular Investor Masterclasses in Manchester so local investors and shareholders in BEG may be interested in attending as BEG is based nearby our venue... | sharesoc
01/6/2015 14:44 | not sure about the rns today global blah blah blah its a network of similar smaller recovery boys all linking up, it isn't the silver bullet.......fees will be kept by the other companies that do the work..... | finkie
05/5/2015 14:35 | 'these will surely fly' OMG topvest this is BEG!!!!!!!!!!!! Rick Traynor for what its worth is ok but the other guys are poor in my view, needs a management shake up few more personalities to compete with the big boys on juicy jobs. | finkie
01/5/2015 18:00 | Yes, the insolvency market can't keep declining for ever. At some point companies will start to get into difficulty. I'm going to hang in. Once the market improves these will surely fly. | topvest
01/5/2015 16:25 | I bought in too early also and nursing a 20% loss so far. Tempted to top up if it does fall further as the worm will turn at some point. | lomcovaks
01/5/2015 11:12 | Happy to stick with BEG so long as the dividend remains intact. Current headwinds in their sector will eventually turn in their favour at which point they should be well placed but their outlook will be in many ways linked to what happens with interest rates over the coming months/years. | speedsgh
01/5/2015 10:49 | Update on insolvency market not favourable this morning - Market share steady but only thorough bolt-ons. "As a result, the Board now anticipates that the outturn for the full year will be below market expectations. " Marked down 13% but not sure if this is enought - From the trading statement (reading between the lines) I suspect there may well be significant rationalisation charges to come - While these may well be charged below the line they are a cost of business and an erosion of funds. We also have the unknown effect of the elections but my crystal ball is very foggy (in fact a real pea-souper) in this respect. Any thoughts etc ?? | pugugly
07/4/2015 10:55 | Hi guys - to me - this feels like the bottom for BEG, I have recently invested on the back of those thoughts and a nice counter cyclical business. bonio I am encouraged by your comments about the industry being tight and like this latest acquisition brings opportunities as the weak players leave the market. Not expecting immediate shakes but you never know. I have written my thoughts here if you are interested, though you guys probably won't learn anything re. beg. ATB | ironstorm
03/4/2015 10:56 | Well - that is the theory. But we have never been in this economic scenario before. The wife is a qualified IP and business is really tight. A lot of those companies you talk about have just traded out of issues or are property companies that have recovered with the market. Just don't see it. | bonio10000
02/4/2015 14:55 | An improving economy leads to increased interest rates and companies that have been kept alive by servicing their debts on historically low interest rates go bust. | mobox1
02/4/2015 14:46 | How does an improving economic cycle help a company based upon insolvency work, which is at a multi year low? Very odd. | bonio10000
27/2/2015 09:12 | Probably in response to new article in Investors Chronicle yesterday... "Buy high-yield Begbies ahead of trading recovery" Summary Conditions for lucrative and complex insolvency work are in a lull in the economic cycle. However, we believe there is a good chance that the trading environment will improve this year, making the current bleak sentiment towards Begbies' shares a buying opportunity. The company is valued at less than nine times 2016 forecast earnings and the high yield means investors can expect to be well paid while waiting for a recovery to set in. Buy. 27/2/2015 09:03 | Something up? (other than the share price this morning) | mctmct
15/12/2014 14:06 | Good write up here + well worth subscribing for email notifications of his other write ups imo... | speedsgh
12/12/2014 11:15 | Half Yearly Report - Acquisition & Placing - | speedsgh
10/12/2014 20:54 | Change of date of Half Year Results - Last minute change of date. Final figures not ready in time or something slightly more sinister (pushing results on to a Friday which is rarely a good sign)? I suppose we'll find out soon enough. Share price has certainly been weak since the summer. | speedsgh
30/9/2014 20:12 | Trading is still difficult by the sound of things. When conditions change then I would expect a sharp turnaround in the share price and trading position. One thing is for sure...company administrations will increase at some point! | topvest
30/9/2014 09:33 | no veil about it | daneswooddynamo
30/9/2014 09:21 | AGM Statement - Is that a thinly veiled profit warning? | speedsgh
04/8/2014 20:46 | These hit nearly £2 in 2008 so they have a lot of catching up to do! | topvest
04/8/2014 20:45 | Well these are moving up well. I suspect there is a view that trade could pick up in early 2015 as interest rates start to increase. | topvest
21/7/2014 11:52 | Well any sign of interest rates going up and more companies going into administration and this will rise strongly in my view. I'm holding until the market turns. | topvest |
