20/2/2015 16:43 | Even though I have been dealing in shares for a few years I still feel a bit numpty asking other traders for help. I have a large number of BEZ shares in my ISA. Is the dividend paid net or gross into my ISA? If they are paid net of tax am I correct in thinking I am better selling them before they go ex dividend since I cannot reclaim the tax back. effectively I would then be receiving the dividend gross after the corresponding drop in price post ex-dividend. Any advice welcome | schofip
18/2/2015 11:49 | Hefty selling this morning but absorbed with share price up! After last week's purchases it smells like somebody is accumulating. Is there a bid on the way? | hooley
13/2/2015 15:28 | Two purchases of 2.5m shares went through this morning. Intriguing? Is the buyer(s) an income fund or stake building? | hooley
08/2/2015 22:47 | There's a net 18p dividend in the share price which will drop out on 26/2. There's a yield of 6% with the share price @300p. In the run-up to going xd the income funds may be buyers. The price should fall xd. I took 75p out of Lancashire and it took 2 months to claw back the drop, at which point I sold. Will Beazley do the same? I'm betting they will. | hooley
06/2/2015 19:04 | It should fall by about the total dividend, yes - the market should theoretically price it in. Re: the director sale, that is always anyone's guess unless you know the fellow... | edmundshaw
06/2/2015 18:46 | Advice needed I have never had a special dividend before. Normally when a company declares a dividend the share price falls by the value of the dividend when it goes ex dividend.Does the same thing happen with a special dividend as well. Also does anybody have a view regarding the director selling 1M shares at this time and what should shareholders make of it. | schofip
05/2/2015 13:52 | Underlying profits up. Reserve releases $60m lower last year than the year before. Underlying cash flow also up, pre-special dividends. Despite tough trading conditions, outlook is fair and another special - say 7p - is probable a year hence. | hooley
03/2/2015 16:10 | Bez , welcome to the 300 club , some where around 16.9p special plus 6.2p divi in my view | casino444
03/2/2015 11:21 | Consensus dividend forecast is for a special of 11p and final of 6p. Shares should go xd on 25 Feb and payment date a month later, paid gross. Rated a weak buy. Worth buying for the yield of almost 6% on the final/special? | hooley
16/1/2015 10:04 | Ganthorpe - interested in your assumptions around a 'more than double average interest rate in 2014'. I thought that interest rates had fallen in 2014, particularly in the last 4 months of the year? | kirkie001
16/1/2015 09:10 | Making a few assumptions Investment income should be up by $53M from $35M to $88M due to the more than double average interest rate in 2014. Against this a 1% reduction in premium rates would cost $20M on say $2billion premium income. Beyond that we have probably a slightly lower underwriting margin which might cost another 2% of premium income = $40M And decent claims experience? then there's a write back of past over provisions? All in all maybe slightly lower profit than 2013 but pretty good? Hopefully GAN | ganthorpe
13/1/2015 18:57 | just a few more weeks to go then , i wonder what the divi we be ?? | casino444

24/12/2014 08:56 | Bounced back and now a break out. Looking strong to go further. | deadly
11/12/2014 09:42 | Been strong recently despite the market sell-off. But sharply down today. Hope a special divi is in the offing next Jan/Feb. | deadly
23/10/2014 10:18 | H1 relatively benign in cat losses this year: hxxp://www.swissre.c Q3 for U.S. also looking pretty reasonable: hxxp://www.artemis.b So if the remainder of the year is good, I'd be looking for another chunky special dividend for 2014. Of course benign losses means lower renewal rates, so need to keep a little perspective. But a third good year in succession would be very pleasant :-) | edmundshaw
19/9/2014 10:53 | And there you have it. Triple buy signal. Support now of 250p. Breakup of the rectangle formation (266p) as well as an emerging double bottom. RSI is towards the ceiling so share price will retrace in the next 10 days but next stop 300p. Keep hold of your shares folks. Great platform building with on balance volume underpinning everything. Potential extraordinary dividend in January will see these reaching new heights. | ialwayswinatmonopoly
