How can this be allowed, the majority shareholder votes for the company to be delisted.

The shares then plunge as not many people want to hold an unlisted company.

The majority shareholder then mops up all the loose shares and increased their holding at a fraction of the cost of the True market value.

I feel that holders have been well and truely shafted.

If the majority holder was to launch a takeover they would have had to pay a far higher price. They have got this on the cheap.

I've been stung before on a co. called New Millenium Resources, that de-listed and has never managed to re-list. Biggest problem has been getting infomation out of them.
However, this is a lot bigger company with a lot of employees. I should think many employees will own shares in the company and this will mean that they will need to be transparent and not shaft shareholders. Anyway, I've bought a few today and will be happy to hold it once it delists.

I've been down this road before in 2000-2004 with Cedar Group - the company was failing due to mismanagement of its dotcom enterprise software business and John Moulton of Alchemy bought the business for a pittance as it was otherwise insolvent without a cash injection. The company was immediately delisted.

Minority shareholders who held on to their shares were a nuisance to Mr Moulton and he wanted them off the register, despite the fact we wanted to participate in the cash injection/fund raising and share the recovery of what was a substantial business. But, oh no, Mr Moulton wanted the rewards all for himself, so as majority shareholder he voted through a scheme of arrangement to buy out the minority shareholders via cancelling our shares and replacing them with a loan note redeemable for cash at a future date.

Eventually I got £30 for what were £3000 worth of shares when they delisted. The fact that the business was worth far more than that was irrelevant. We had no say in the matter, outvoted and outmaneuvered at every turn, as we were.

I would not be surprised if something similar happened here at a future date.

Minority shareholdings in a private unquoted company are generally a waste of time and money as it is extremely difficult to realise any cash value for them.

At the moment according to ADVFN they have a market cap of 3.5m.

The shares must be worth more if the company recovers.

The problem is unless they relist you will not find it very easy to realise any of that value.

This is the question, dont trust the board now but now but 90% loss is hard to swallow so ill spin the wheel and hang on for something better

Help here please. What if we just keep the shares, will they be worth anything in the future when the company recovers, even if they do not relist.

Cheers, only £500 average 23p in here so enough to not worry about may aswell hold on the offchance. Another one for the ever expanding list!

Pel

I dont think you can claim a loss as you will still hold shares in an ongoing private company. If you sell now you will definately crytsalise a loss.

This company may ressurect itself sometime in the future so there maybe better value to hold on now, but this will be dead money for a considerable time.

Yep a proper shating. Anyone know from a tax point of view when a company goes private if you can claim that as a loss or is it due to the fact they are offering a 'matched bargain' that there is still value.

Disgraceful.

Commiserations to any holders affected by this company's shameful conduct.

Unfortunately so many aim companies are doing this. Raise cash and then dump on the holders. So far I have three like this. Never got a penny back from any of them and have no idea what is going on with them.

the large Holder of 51% has prevented any bid for this co. on the basis of the huge order book. is delist nearly a dead cert?. a tempting all or nothing buy now. even 500 quid in now might 50 bag over a few years in the event of a recovery. Will this refloat somewhere or as a 2 seperate entities ? had 10 grand in this only 2 years ago and sold out at a 2% loss months before the credit crunch. Phew!
Would have been the 2nd time ive been completly shafted by Ethanol. Gtl the first . commiserations to holders , cant blame u for holding on with the order book .

BP.....are you aware of what is happening here, noticed you have recently bought some , they are going to delist ...so no easy market to trade your shares, thats why it has been droping last few days , mm do not wish to hold any!!

spread is so wide, buy and pay 10% too much, sell and you loose 10%

So you need a 20% rise just to get in and out at even.

Not very tempting for anyone

free stock charts from www.advfn.com

the price appears to be within a falling wedge, previous lows have been taken out ie 11.5, 11.0.......next support would be 9.5 and 8p ie the previous low......
a close back above 11p would appear to be required........
