For as with just about everything — from electric cars to heat pumps — there is a price to pay for going green. And this nappy tax idea is a classic case. From Sue, London Omg the torture of the stinky nappy bucket to sterilise them and then washing them and line drying. And the babies were always damp and had to wear those awful crackly plastic pants over them. Disposable nappies were a revelation.
