This stamp duty holiday and 5% deposit is just a tinkering illusion a bit here and there whilst property prices are running ahead...some are now going into those 30%, 40% or 50% stake in property schemes...they pay the split of the mortgage as well as rent...

They can't buy because they now need a larger deposit than in previous decades and they are in competition with BTL landlords for the available properties. They are then forced into renting for ever.
