I will be interested to see the movement over the coming days. Any more of your share price range predictions Manics ... 168 would certainly look a entry point.

China’s Big European Failure

China's attempts to conquer Europe may have hit a road bump. Despite expanding the Belt and Road in Europe and signing the EU China Deal, Central and Eastern Europe are turning against the Chinese Communist Party.

PRBSHARES: BARC can start the buying any time they like now. The buy back principle is in the public domain. They must report purchases as they go -Transaction in Own Shares RNS's will be retrospective as is normal.

Will be interesting to see sizing as I say.

...so we can say to date the rise might in part be due to sentiment toward the buyback, but not the actual mechanic of the buyback.

Transaction in Own Shares must be reported next business day.

FCA:

"Any purchase of a listed company's own equity shares by or on behalf of the
company or any other member of its group must be notified to a RIS as soon
as possible, and in any event by no later than 7:30 a.m. on the business day
following the calendar day on which the purchase occurred".

We are now double digit March. Still no Transaction in Own Shares RNS.

Should see the first of them this month. It will be interesting to see what allocation of the £700m spend is committed to this opening period.

how can this be classed as a downturn, while millions of people are now better off???
house prices booming, people working from home £6000 a year better off, people on welfare getting pay raises.

this is a boom not a downturn.

ive never seen a downturn where people are begging for it to stay.

we all know the chancellor hasnt got the guts to hit these people, it will only be us shareholders taking 90% of the hits.. were easy targets.

you watch this government cower to the nhs demands of a pay raise.. they got no backbone.

President Biden's $1.9 trillion economic injection should help boost market liquidity and send markets higher.

And while the general sentiment is positive, there are still a few sectors that stand to gain more than others - sectors like information technology.

Royal Navy in the Pacific: An ally against China, where we need it

Considering the threat China poses, international coordination must go beyond environmental cooperation, diplomatic niceties at major summits or even substantive economic measures.

The U.S. must contain Chinese expansion, giving Europe a predominately economic role but leveraging Europe’s limited yet sophisticated military capabilities. The U.K. deployment should be a springboard for this strategy.

Barc seems to be under a fair amount of pressure today.... Manics : Any levels where she looks appetizing to you ?

I would hazard a guess that todays pullback is due to the uncertainty surrounding data later this week ?... would be nice to see the ftse hold onto the gains and push forward ... maybe a little more patience on my part is required.
