Trump Admits No Trade Deal With China Likely Until After 2020 Trump blamed the failure solely on China, which he said reneged on previously agreed upon key structural issues such as deep changes to China's economy, intellectual property theft and forced transfers of technology. https://en.businesstimes.cn/articles/116115/20190729/trump-admits-trade-deal-china-until-2020.htm

BEIJING Chinese state media said on Sunday the United States has shipped several million tons of soybeans to China since the two countries' leaders met in June, although U.S. government data shows that the volume was much less. https://japantoday.com/category/business/update-2-beijing-says-millions-of-tonnes-of-u.s.-soy-shipped-to-china-u.s.-data-reflects-less

.......... African Swine Fever (ASF) & the Final Straw Donkey ............... Some doubted that African Swine Fever had the capacity to cause a Global Slowdown in its own right. They will IMO soon be proved wrong. And the Global cost will be in excess of $2 Trillion over the next 3 years. Not only has African Swine Fever entered Bulgaria as I posted last: It is also in Poland :- htTps://www.porkbusiness.com/article/far-over-new-case-asf-poland Today it has just been reported as being found in Slovakia htTps://www.porkbusiness.com/article/african-swine-fever-hits-slovakia In fact things in the EU are now looking very bleak indeed hTtps://www.pigprogress.net/Health/Articles/2019/7/Slovakia-10th-EU-country-to-report-African-Swine-Fever-454923E/ There has now also been the first reported case of ASF being detected in the UK htTps://www.theguardian.com/environment/2019/jul/11/meat-infected-by-african-swine-fever-found-in-uk-for-first-time buywell notes: The world has not yet woken up to the implications and ramifications of this pandemic pig killer. 95% fatal to infected pigs, and no cure exists. This disease infects ALL provinces in China and IS AFFECTING ITS ECONOMY hTtps://www.forbes.com/sites/brendancoffey/2019/07/26/is-china-buckling-on-trade-because-of-african-swine-fever/ The problem is that ASF will soon also be killing pigs in America and the EU by the millions just as it is in China and many Asian countries. Protein food prices across the Globe are now spiking upwards and will continue to do so causing additional inflationary pressures on economies and countries that are already under strain from other problems. buywell thinks pigs are the final straw that will break the back of the Global Donkey

Agree portside, Hammond has never been any good, a bitter loser like Osborne was with May when she kicked him out. I am surprised his local constituency has not tried to kick him out.

The Railways ------ Another Political Football like Schools, NHS and the Police ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Boris has just appointed Andrew Gilligan as his Transport Adviser htTps://www.forbes.com/sites/carltonreid/2019/07/26/londons-former-cycling-commissioner-becomes-transport-advisor-to-prime-minister-boris-johnson/ Boris and Andrew are olde buddies , here is what Andrew thinks of HS2 hTtp://stophs2.org/tag/andrew-gilligan Boris has just said he is in favour of building the Rail link between Manchester and Leeds , HS3. He Knows that the North and Midlands and Wales are ALL AGAINST HS2 , so starting at the other end and building HS3 first makes good political sense as it will gain Tory votes where they are most needed and could result in the 10% lead that the Tory Party now has over Labour morphing into an increased Tory majority if a snap GE is now called. htTps://www.twipu.com/mragilligan/tweet/1130513081119969282 Note the bar chart in the above link buywell personally believes that the Brexit Party will be needed to form a coalition should Oct 31st Brexit become a bum steer as many believe it will. The GE might well happen after Tory rebels force through via Berkow a vote of no confidence in Boris before that date, a very real possibility. Thus in that scenario , Nigel Farage and his Brexit Party will become re-energized and get some MP's. Boris is no mug as many make him out to be. He is already sounding out/releasing some of his ideas to the public which will soon get tweaked to form his Tory Party manifesto. HS2 and HS3 and his vision for ''A Railway Network that will be fit for use in the 21st Century '' will be included it. It has to be because it was and is a VANITY PROJECT that England just can't afford with Brexit happening at the same time, costing well over 100 Billion pounds to achieve very High Speed bullet like trains (japan) , to rocket passengers from London to Manchester. This money in the mind of his new adviser Andrew Gilligan should be spent on a SLOWER SERVICE and buywell agrees with him. htTps://www.twipu.com/mragilligan/tweet/1130513081119969282 Note the bar chart in the above link What Great Britain needs is a safe , efficient , frequent and punctual , railway network that can transport more people and freight over it in a timely and punctual manner such that those people can sit in comfort and can arrive at their destination on time and ready to do a days work or enjoy a days leisure. This means a SLOWER SERVICE than planned for HS2 , but still fast by today's standards which are now declining rapidly in terms of comfort(people packed in like sardines, reliability and breakdowns (too hot , snow and leaves on the tracks ie safety issues), punctuality (claims rising), and cost ( spiraling under present set up). 1. More trains are needed In the short term because England will be working on a budget due to Brexit constraints , some Trains will have to be refurbished, but NOT Diesel Trains . 2. Better tracks and better maintenance of the infrastructure Electrification of non electrified main lines should become a priority to marry with the banning of all forms of diesel transport to a set in stone timetable date , probably 2040 at the latest. 3. A 4 track system wherever possible ( Planning issues, land availability and cost) This allows express trains to run on the Up & Down Fast lines , and Freight to run on the Up & Down Slow lines. It minimizes disruption and maximizes traffic flow. 4. Better planned Tram and Bus links to modernized/updated and New Stations Modern stations that have more staff to help on the platforms , with lifts, wheel chair access , better free toilet facilities , and planned Tram, Metro and Bus links right up to the Stations to get people into the city centres and surrounding towns. 5. Full adoption of the concept ''Digital Railway'' , whereby the use of modern technology is driven into Railway use by these new schemes ie HS3 and a New West Coast Mainline (HS2 revised) in the face of Trade Union pressure , which will have to be overcome. Boris can USE the money earmarked for HS2 to achieve much of the above. The Railways have languished for far too long with Labour doing next to nothing to improve them when Bliar and Brown were in power , likewise Cameron and May. Hence the repair bill has risen and the works needed have escalated. But the rail transport need has not gone away ... It has grown and gets bigger by the day The 39M that England will NOT pay to the EU to exit can go towards his other spending plans.
