Millions of families 'worse off' than 15 years ago
Kamal Ahmed Economics editor @bbckamal on Twitter

Millions of "just about managing" families are no better off today than those in 2003, new research from the Resolution Foundation indicates.

The remarkable income stagnation for so many reveals that the economy has been failing to generate income for people over many years despite record levels of people in work.

Why not just deregulate the banks again and have done with it ? The banks gambled and lost only ten years ago. Let them try again ! they have nothing to loose as the bank of England and the British tax payer, covers all loses.

Capitalism isn't working.

buywell3 - you are a fool if you think all the problems in this country are the fault of the EU - and an even bigger one if you think pulling out of the EU will make them go away. Your assertion that the electorate is more intelligent than the two top EU negotiators just about says it all for your powers of observation. Strange bedfellows - a gang of journalists, newspaper owners and nobility with off shore wealth applying the scoundrels last resort - the patriotic peasant - to re-inforce their respective situations in life.

diku : I see a re-rating ..both for BARC and LLOY . I hold both. At least the House of Commons is in recess for the next few weeks ...so that might help both stocks in the short term !

It has failed few times around the 191p and it gets slammed down...but it is also finding support around the 183.5p area...it could well be the case of sell on rumour and buy on the news (results day)...market will perceive it as results not as bad as feared....

diku : I see the share price rising back up above 190p next week in the run-up to the interims due on the 2nd August and then north of 200p immediately following . I guess that's what makes a market...diverging views!

porty they are taking everything they can get from BARC while they can and delivering as little as possible to shareholders.
A lot of large Corps do it...........
When they have had enough, they will move on to do the same at another corp.

meanwhile us shareholders sit and wait and hope.......appalling behaviour from the BoD in my view.
What is Bramson doing ???
