guys, still, I want to ask the question, why now?

are they afraid of something going to happen? or want to control the company before someone else step in?

So our much trusted BoD stood up at the AGM and answered questions confidently did they?

Must have been rehearsing that sham for a while....no way this has all come on top since the meeting - or didnt they notice the debts stacking up?

The giveaway in the RNS is that Redbird will only fund the company further if its not listed....in other words get rid of us peasants, then the work can begin.

I would ask how they sleep at night, but I bet like most crooks they sleep like a baby

Makes you wonder if they have been forcing the price down, Mr 50k perhaps?

With Redbird, the issue was always going to be their large holding. They didnt mind paying 15p a share when they were going to hoover the lot up anyway.

There could be competition i.e another bidder (lets hope so).

that happened before, to a company with code CBI,
I know some share holder didn't sell, but who know how they work with the company afterwards?
I suppose if you have a significant holding, that will make it worth

Don't shoot me down for saying this.

What about holding on to your shares, and then keeping them in the new private company. This has happened before. Sometimes the new company can perform much better. We could get together, and make a private market to trade the shares??

Just a thought.

kbrook, think the whole thing in depth
why release the news now? just before the news regarding Chinese collaboration?

Tuckman is hiding out on Interactive Investor board, he still has the rose tinted glasses on, crazy times

pete_bain must be feeling pretty sick this morning. I don't know why. Today's news is a perfect justification for his eternal 'buy_to_lose' policy. His 42p average is beaten only by max101.

Oh no, kbrook, they were trying to shaft you lot by persuading you to buy more.....

@oilyrag

below bargain price? do explain

12m in equity finance at a massive discount just to get through the BFS means most likely doubling the amount of shares, and this is before getting the finance for the project

Qipincha...on reflection can't see the point. The BOD are clearly in cahoots with Redbird, they will do nothing if the offer is rejected to bring us value and the company will eventually fold. Give me my 6p and lets move on.

I am interested to hear the views of Tuckman and Kevin bearing in mind they are such large shareholders and attended the AGM. Do they feel shafted?

why give up?

Should all reject the offer!

The timing is so strange.

Just before the news about Chinese collaboration!

there is something happening behind!

So ... it was either this or a $12m equity offer (some had to go to repay existing debt) at a large discount. Don't expect a counter offer considering how redbird and management are acting as one single entity here.

Tops, I can buy 50000 on Barclays at 5.65 at the moment. .35p won't make a fortune but it makes a red number slightly smaller. We'll get a "Corporate Actions" notice on Barclays shortly, which we'll be able to vote on. Probably pointless but the mechanism will continue,

Thing is with the iron market at the moment, a lot of people are of the opinion we are at the bottom. Copper, which is the major bell weather for metals has recently broke its long standing down trend, and is on the up. I have a feeling Redbird know we are turning a corner, and have put up this offer to get themselves a bargain.

What a shame, lost a packet here.

So none of this was known at the AGM, at that point we were going to be going down the steel route. It must have all happened since the last RNS as well when all was looking rosey.
