Big news finally. Amazon payment for physical goods in Japan activated on networks covering 75% of mobile users. Could mean big revenues eventually.

Update on MS DCB webpage 25th May indicates Telenor removed from Hungary and Hutchinson removed from Indonesia for Windows legacy Phones.

The fact that they have only recently introduced Telenor for Windows 10 / Xbox in Hungary would support the reason for the removal is not that MS are abandoning DCB but that MS are negotiating new deals for Windows 10 / Xbox and will be migrating users over to the new arrangements once negotiations are completed.

I do expect the MS Windows 10 / Xbox DCB activations to pick up in the next 6 - 12 months otherwise they will loose further ground on the likes of Google & Apple.

Considering they came to the party late Apple now have 22 DCB activations v MS Windows 10 / Xbox 17 activations

Not sure how many Amazon & Samsung have ?

Google way ahead in the race

Smallcap

If there was any new news they would have needed to issue a RNS this morning before the AGM SO I think we will just get a RNS stating all resolutions past which if you look at the AGM notice there were very few issues on the agenda.

There may also be a new AGM presentation posted on the Bango web site but again I doubt there will be anything new

Looks like Apple have been busy launching DCB in several markets. Nothing to say Bango are involved but good for DCB exposure to new markets

New activations as follows

Belgium Pay by Mobile have replaced BASE
France Bouygues Telecom
Japan NTT DoCoMo
Turkey Pay Cell

BANGO AGM tomorrow so maybe get an RNS update in the morning

I only know of Germany, but that's still a high volume commercial platform. People spend a lot more with Amazon than with Microsoft!

It has been made very clear to Investors that many deals are ongoing, if that was a total lie I would be amazed and may even constitute an FCA offence - I don't think it's likely at all, Bango have been good to investors, and next RNS will likely reveal a long list of deals around the world that we had no idea about.

BANGO Statements

5th January 2016 RNS

Bango is working in collaboration with Microsoft and mobile operator partners globally to ensure maximum coverage for this payment method. Specific operator availability will be announced as they are launched starting in January.

What happened, nothing until September when we had the activations in Hungary, Norway & Finland

20th September RNS

On 5 January 2016, Bango announced an expanded agreement and integration with Microsoft Corp. to deliver carrier-billed payments across Windows 10 devices. Bango has since launched DCB for Windows Store into three European countries across four MNOs, and the pace of rollouts is expected to be accelerated during the second half due to an agreement with a major MNO Group. In addition to Windows 10 PC, tablet and smartphones users, DCB is now available to Xbox One users.

What happened since, nothing

So with only 5 from 17 activations in 18 months is the reason there is no significant revenue from MS

Google yes

What makes you think they are making money with Amazon. I thought they had only one activation in Germany.

As for Windows 10 revenue not being significant I would agree but is that that because we only have few activated billing routes. Also why keep telling the market you have deals and activations are forthcoming but then nothing happens

No idea Lentjes. Just for anyone new or concerned, to be clear Microsoft is not a significant revenue stream for Bango, who derive the majority of their revenue from Google and Amazon.

On one hand you have Anil bloging about the 1 billion Windows 10 device can not be far away and how MS are using the Bango technology and yet again Boku chalk up another Windows 10 activation and this time with Telus who are supposed to be a Bango partner.

Whats going on ?

Where are these Windows 10 / Xbox activation with global MNO's they keep talking about, its not that Bango are not making announcements you can see on the MS carrier billing web page there just not happening, well not with Bango

Whilst I'm not normally a fan of re-posting news reports word for word the further plus I take from the article in the Cambridge Business Weekly is that Raymondo is sounding rather bullish on developments with Bango with the following statements and this is something I doubt he would engage with on his own doorstep as Bango are a respected unit within the Cambridge business circle. Also coming not far from half year results it also gives me further confidence that Bango are on or ahead of market expectations.

- Bango through its hub in Cambridge, can collect payments from more than twice the number of people worldwide than have credit cards.”

- End user spend last year tripled, “yet that’s only the beginning,” Anderson insists.

- Bango is a core hub for goliaths like Google, Amazon, Microsoft and Samsung – giving them access to almost two billion users worldwide though technology controlled from Cambridge!

- Anderson says: “0ur brokers say that investors are realising that our business is growing fast and that Bango can build on fixed operational costs – so quickly moving to profitability.

- Bango was tracking the success or otherwise of the Pokemon Go Worldwide Bloom event introducing grass-type Pokemon which are said to be “spawning like crazy.”

- Bango is making huge strides in the US following a shrewd acquisition and is cornering the market in Asia

- This launch is the 15th app store carrier billing activation through the Bango Platform in Indonesia. This enables hundreds of millions of users to fully engage with the leading app stores from Google, Microsoft, BlackBerry and Samsung

All sounding good to me

The main things is to become a key player is this market which they appear to be doing. As you say, it's all APIs from there on so ongoing set up costs should be minimal. Just need some patience here I think.

Well the business is built on scaling, so I don't think it'll even require that many people to expand the business significantly - the wonders of building an API based service! A dozen new jobs will go a long, long way.

I actually tried to buy some more shares this morning, but the spread's a little wide for my liking. Still cheap at 135p, though, considering 150p has been reached recently and most analysts see 200p achievable in the next few quarters. At some point I expect this will graduate to the main FTSE and start paying dividends, as it's in growth mode now but is ultimately a constant profit type of business.

Totally agree and with the Bango hiring philosophy to take on graduates where possible the cost base should not rise to much.

So refreshing after all the shenanigans in my other AIM shares to come take a look at Bango, where everything's rosy and profitable. Star investment. It's always been made clear by management that they have their sights set on becoming a major, and now that deals and money are pouring it, it makes sense that they're hiring more people and continuing to scale up the business.
