I decided to gamble on EML which has a massive potash resource but the share price is still low.

amt, yes I do tend to agree with you there ,but most people seem to agree that gold will rise to three thousand dollars an ounce and beyond, I will probably sell both in the end and as you say when,,! I bought TP group at 3p and it’s now touching 7p, it does look interesting, sunrise res has done a massive placing and I have friends who think it might be the next GGP, GGP is up this morning again ,it’s going along nicely ,I’ve been investing for over sixty years and still haven’t got the hang of it , good luck,

Yes I am not aware of a single Aim mining tiddler that has gone on to achieve success after the initial couple of years of spectacular gains.

Yes Alan, for me it's about the the thrill of gambling with the likes of GGP or the dullness of investing with the likes of Bango.
Have you got anymore shares on your list that haven't already shot up in price like Shanta. There is a technique of chasing rising shares without even a need to understand the company but its very difficult to get out at the top. It's pure luck. I am not implying that you don't understand the likes of GGP or Shanta, you might have worked in that industry. I am saying that about myself and the vast majority of private investors. I haven't a clue about mining businesses if I am honest and it would take too much time for me to get to a reasonable level of understanding. The experience I have had is that the price of mining companies can go through the roof early on in the discovery phase but in 90% or more cases they become worthless over time.

amt once again bango couldn’t hold on to a small gain boku is going much better as you know out of the two I much prefer bango but I expect a lot better than this ,I also think GGP and shanta are long term holds ,they both look an exiting rides ,

Yes, GGP is very exciting, held it for donkeys years and it was virtually worthless at one stage. I have no idea when to sell though so doubt I will get out near the top.

Don't worry Alan. Probably only 6 months to wait before the story becomes clear to the market. Hang on in there.
I waited ten years for Tandem to take off and their shares have been overlooked by the market for years. Now doubled in a few months.

Thanks Alan for the ideas. I find it impossible to value exploratory mining shares. From my experience they nearly always end up worthless. You can get lucky if you time it but its guess work in my view. Companies like Bango have real businesses generating cash and profits and in the case of Bango exceptional growth. All these mining shares don't have anything to go on except words.

The price of gold has dropped today amt, I still think GGP and shanta are stand out gainers ,I also like symphony environmental looks really interesting it’s in the right sector ,I’m afraid I cannot get excited about bango all the good news and reports are gone even the directors couldn’t buy in at the right price, the Dow is up a lot tonight hopefully that bodes well for Monday, if you want a couple of tiddlers that might do well they are sunrise res and pea, good luck

I got a bit bored by the lack of action so had a gamble with gold share Cora which has been a disaster so I shall not be straying into gambling again but stick with investing. Sce had a good day.

JC in my experience over the years results always read well but usually the share price heads south, boku is as bad , I am eighty two years old next month and I don’t know whether I will still be alive when or if it makes it ,ha ha ha ,keep smiling ,

There are now some 81 Audiences now...and with Nexon and many others (5x more users versus start of the year) using marketplace in 2H...think we will start to see some real traction in 2H results
