I think that the Institutional investors will take time to digest, but would hopefully see the details today and explanations as positive, so may influence support for the share price

Good Korean news and some positive results for H1 in 6-8 weeks time might trigger the next steps upwards (though likely small).

Let me tell you Bango is doing tremendously well, folks. The numbers? Fantastic. Revenue up, recurring income way up, losses down. They’re winning in South Korea, Europe, everywhere, really. People said they couldn’t do it. Well, they did it. Digital Vending Machine? Huge success.
Smart investors are watching this company. They’ve got the model, the tech, the momentum. Some say the best in the subscription game. And the growth? It’s not slowing down. Believe me.
Bango is not loser. Watch this space. Tremendous things ahead.

The market moves by 10% on tiny volumes (£100k-£200k) and the bid/offer spread is over 5%, so likely just a few panicking private investors being punished by the market-makers.

I don't see a short-term upside to the share price, but the H1 TU is now only around 2 months away, so that may bring more colour.

They could make it profitable by slashing all investment in the future but for longterm investors it should be worth the wait.
I imagine people who can't wait a couple of years will sell and nobody will buy until sentiment changes so share price not going anywhere. I can wait another couple of years.

I get the impression that the Docomo acquisition has added a lot of cost which they have not eliminated so far.

thats a given - as time goes on though that "excuse" should go away - particulArly as they advised they were investing extra to save more later (synergies)

what appears to be happening is that ignoring the extra costs that came with Docomo and initial extra investment necessary - the "day to day to day ongoing costs relating to domco" seem to be eating up all the extra sales that are flowing through - this kind of ruins waht should be trhe fantastic buisness model that they have really high margins.
Whatever is happeing though its clear they are somewhat fudging the explanatioons given to investors up to now.

Its possible all the new signups bring along to the party significant extra one off costs to setup and get up to scale - that makes sense to me that that would be the case and would probably be accepted if they simply told us that and were honest - eg when we signup new large customer x - the costs for the first 3 years for that contract will be such that we make no profit.

Perhapos it will all magiclaly drop into place over the next 12 months - but shareholdeers are really still in the same place they wer 3 years ago - and all the "new big names that have signed up" have been on board for soem time now.

If the payback here ios in 2-3 years and until thne they need to support the platform costs "at a loss or breakeven" - that should be communicated clealry along with kpi's that detail the progression of the poart of the buisness that is "high margin profit" - at present it almost looks like "there is no high margin profit" business they are doing.

Its always been a fickle thing making money from slightkly skety commission income or selling data one presumes has value - as time doesnt stand still and the big players will always pimp out others as it suits.

Must have been my post wot did it :-)

Fridays aren't great as you have the weekend to fume about it, but I am a fan of the investor meets - fronting up to investors and allowing them to ask questions is always helpful

Why, amt? Plenty of investors and analysts focus on EV/EBITDA nowadays, as much as PAT or EPS. Certainly Singer’s share price target is based on EV/EBITDA. Compared to other tech companies with similar growth rates BGO is cheap on this metric and I don’t see why it won’t attract many investors.

ChatGPT says:
"LSE AIM brokers prefer to publish numbers that companies can beat because it helps maintain investor confidence and supports the company's share price. By setting achievable targets, brokers create a positive narrative when companies exceed expectations, which can attract more investors and improve market sentiment. Overly ambitious forecasts that are missed risk damaging credibility and deterring future investment, making conservative estimates a safer approach for both the broker and the company.
Savvy investors can take advantage of this undervaluation to buy shares at a discount, anticipating that the market will eventually recognise the company's strength and re-rate its share price upward."

There's no point issuing a '25 forecast if the market is not even paying attention to the '24 numbers

I couldnt disagree more - for proper grown up companies they will have expectations for this year and next - they should have processes in place so that they know how n track they are or not. Over time that should provide stable enviroment to update the market regularly over time as psopects change for the better or worse. With a decent setup in place then investors can regulalry see over time how things are progressing. At present with nothing on the table next year the directors clearly have a clue and its very market sensitive anmd yet we are kept in the dark.

Note if we are wanting to ascribe valuations in then hundreds of millions of pounds to a business wtf would we not expect the company to be grown up an have a serious investor relations / communication strategy is like other companies of its ilk.

Note its not as if we didnt previously have numbers pencilled in for 2025 - we did and those numbers were wityhdrawn and we are now months later - without revised estimates of any sort. I fully understand teh pause for breath after the debacle earlier in the year - but i would have liked to think tyhe top bods would realise their weaknesses in their inability to project - puit team in place who could ad get the new info out to the market and deliver on those numbers. Heck If they hope to do $15 mill profit next year start with $7 mill and revise upwards with each news release likle most sensible conservatice companies will do if thinbgs are going well. Set sensible low bar and deliver slightly ahead. Cant think this company has ever said - oh yes we delivered better profits than we previosuly expected.

Investors here make comparisons to Boku - with Boku we have had 2025 expectations in place - it hasnt been a straight line but estimates for both 2024 and 2025 have ben tyrending nicely up opver the last 18 months - 2024 started at 3.6p eps 2024 and is now at 5.5p eps. for 2025 they started at 5.7p and are now at 6.1p. What investors do have is a clear picture oe where the company is trending ref the bottom line profit numbers. and with Bango we had something for 2025 and we now have nowt and that perfectly fine for some and thos some are expecting others to pay the same rating as psople pay for Boku?
