26/1/2005 14:31 | Does anyone know how dividends from the USA are treated? Is anything withheld? I've been looking at THORNBURG MTG INC (NYSE:TMA) with a 9.66% yield. | susan widdowson

07/1/2005 16:44 | Do not be put off by the falls recorded in the first week in Jan. I believe that this is caused by a sellers strike in the second half of December and it is very healthy for those sales to flush through. Prospects for the first quarter are uncertain... UPDATE: Global Index has fallen back through the 50 day moving average for the first time since July 2004. I think that means now short for 4 months or so. Well blow me. Weakness reversed by 26th Jan. Since then the Global Index has raced away and created a new higher high.....and we all know what that means! Learning point: As the 50 day moving average remained in positive territory there was weakness, pain even in January, but no inflexion point in the BULL TREND. | ben gunn
23/10/2004 09:23 | Now is the time for all good men to short the US and European equity Indeces! Like for 4 days at least. | ben gunn

23/7/2004 12:17 | OK. Still rates number 3 page on my Trading Pages favourites. Is there a good forum for cajolling ADVFN into improving their remarkably unfocussed basic level services? Ben | ben gunn
23/7/2004 12:04 | oh the thread header......wasn't me. as you see technet did this one and someone did the other one and I just copied and edited both codes to create on thread. | hooya
23/7/2004 11:56 | Hooya All too cryptic for me. Centuries ago I was FD of Prestel. We drove it from losses of £666 per customer to break even in 3 years and I still take a strong interest in good page design and layout even though we now used the internet and not videotext. So I like the cut of the man who put this one together and would like to meet up with you for a drink at an ADVFN do or whatever for a chat. | ben gunn
