15/9/2020 07:59 | From DMStewart on LSE RE: Stena drills hip Today 03:34 It is now suggested by market sources that Bahamas Petroleum will use UDW drillship Stena IceMAX (10,000') for its upcoming one-well program in the Cooper Block offshore the Bahamas. As has been previously reported by RigLogix, the operator awarded Stena the work, with the stipulation that the rig be decided upon by November. It had been speculated that the Stena Forth (7,500') might be the rig, but as we now understand an MPD equipped unit is required, that would eliminate the Forth as it is only partially equipped. With the recent contract award from Repsol for the Stena IceMAX for work offshore Mexico, it is now understood that the rig will drill the 30-45 day Bahamas Petroleum well first before proceeding to Mexico. 15/9/2020 07:08 | BigSi214 Sep '20 - 20:11 - 42754 of 42756 0 1 0 Crazy season !! What’s interesting is that despite 20-25% frequent production shuts with these continuing Hurricanes the market for WTI is still in contango, in fact the futures curve never once pulled itself up outof contango – which is now getting worse again late August/early September. Throughout the entire rally since April, no backwardation at any point, suggesting despite the massive cuts in supply (not just in US) the (physical) market had never been able to favorably rebalance itself... If COVID kicks off again come winter the market really will be reeling - and yes that is relevant to BPC and no it doesn’t by itself mean that PV1 won’t get drilled - Just to be clear for those that struggle to grasp the meaning of comments./////// Good post from BigSi,unfortunately he is shooting over the head of BadEgg. | 12bn | |
15/9/2020 06:43 | Here he is again. Mate I've warned you elsewhere. It's a bloody nuisance to serious investors. Please keep it to Twitter if you have to. | theaviator |
