Disappointing any which way you cut, what effect financially and in sentiment has yet to be ascertained. . .
I’d be very nervous if I’d bet the farm, or even the chicken shed . . . .

We will weaken further today but should stabilise around 3p. If they donot manage to sort the CLN out then this will be a historic failure rivalling the ineptitude of the posters here.

II should have access to main market - so why buy into an illiquid fund.apart from the potential 79% teaser.Although not guaranteed due to remaining uncertainties. At least they now can say we offered to Bahamians on same termsAnd they have some Bahamian dollars for any brown envelopes required

I think the problem is they restricted access to the MF, via the 10K minimum investment, to a small group of Bahamians most of whom already have access to the shares on AIM.

And why would anyone invest in the MF, with its bizarre liquidity rules and annual charges, if you could buy the shares direct?

In that context it is a surprise they raised so much. But it was never that relevant to BPC, or the drill. Etc.

Hardly surprising they failed to attract "investors" given the extremely poor chances of success ... as is well known for these types of exploration drills.

Now idiots. We better hope that the CLN is released or we are going to go to 0.5p. Last chance now and we will know within three weeks at the latest.

This event today should not take the stock down more than 5-10% although it is not good for sentiment.

Very bad news that BOc can only raise 700k at such a huge discount down at 2p.

Sure some special restrictions but this is a pretty bad miss.

With a possible £2m to be raised it was never going to replace CLN-

Pro - that was always going to the case. The MF was a side show for local investors only, not part of the core financing.

The Fund has initially been licenced as a "Professional" fund, such that qualifying professional / institutional investors will be able to subscribe for shares in the FundSet up initially being offered to "sophisticated" investors not regular Bahamians - Seems institutions not that interested even with 70% immediate profit potentials- ODD

Many businesses out there may have spent a lot of their spare money on repairing damage after the hurricane.

I would say most Bahamians aren't even aware drilling is starting in a few weeks. When the news is out that a rig is on the way they will take more interest.

Rather feeble take up considering the immediate potential-70% 2p to 3.4p
