10/1/2019 23:32 | You wouldn't need to fund the wall if you cut the amount of aid dished out to South American countries. And I'm sure land mines would be cheaper than a wall. | cmackay

10/1/2019 12:14 | A recent hackathon at DASA sought to blend data analytics with data security. While quite a challenge, it can be done, explains Tim Madden of BAE Systems. Using a dataset from three fleets of C130s – a four-engine turboprop military transport aircraft – entrants from companies including-Lockheed Martin and Airbus competed against universities and smaller start-ups, as well as a joint team from BAE Systems Air and Applied Intelligence. | ribblewader

09/1/2019 16:21 | Leaving internal US politics to those who will (or not) pay for whatever goes on in the US....... Back to BAE Systems In November 26, 2018, NASA landed its InSight spacecraft on Mars after a six month journey to the Red Planet. InSight, which stands for Interior Exploration using Seismic Investigations, Geodesy and Heat Transport made the trip equipped with BAE Systems RAD750™ Single Board Computers (SBC) on board. 09/1/2019 16:02 | @Shalder "Why is the US border wall needed?" Central American migrants keep heading toward US, even as Trump focuses on stopping caravans "All the democrats see is prospective voters. They don't care about the safety & security of American people. | wbecki
09/1/2019 15:58 | Indeed Shalder. All the democrats you list did indeed vote for Border security erections in 2006. They womnt now solely to play party politics. Politicans are the same everywhere.Mostly lying duplicitous scum. | wbecki
09/1/2019 15:15 | WB you are right about the dishonesty. I understand there are already about 700 miles of border barrier (fence) in place, which the democrats voted FOR in 2006 - including Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton. and Joe Biden. Not only that, but this fence was in place through the 8 years of Obama presidency without causing the Democrats any problem. So why is it suddenly a no-no for them? | shalder
09/1/2019 13:11 | WBecki - You are right. The total border is over 2,000 miles (That's roughly equivalent to London to Berlin and back haha) Why does he have to have all of the money up front, far better to start doing something now on the most serious weak points, then apply for funding next year and the year after and so on. If any civil engineers are reading this please say how long it would take to do all of the border, I reckon even the biggest contractors (Bechtel etc.) would need ten years to finish it. | losos
09/1/2019 11:05 | You do realise that it is only 25% of US Govt that is shut down Booker? Also the democrats are reluctant to pay $5.7bn for a border wall, sorely needed, but are more than happy to dole out $15bn+ in extra foreign aid. You couldnt make up their dishonesty. | wbecki

09/1/2019 09:58 | Bae starting to edge up I see. Also a minor price revision by those muppets at Berenberg. "BERENBERG CUTS BAE SYSTEMS PRICE TARGET TO 590 (700) PENCE - 'BUY'" Goldman trim as well - 1p! Still a BUY but a pointless price revision | wbecki

08/1/2019 13:34 | One wonders how the Chinese are catching up so fast given a smaller defence budget? Presumably they're nicking the tech left n right "The CCTV report said the flying wing aerodynamic design is similar the US' Northrop Grumman B-2 Spirit. Military experts are expecting the drone will operate on China’s aircraft carriers, including those that employ electromagnetic catapults. While the US' Northrop Grumman X-47B stealth drone has already been tested, it should be of great concern to Pentagon officials that China's modernization efforts are rapidly accelerating" | wbecki
