25/10/2018 11:37 | Typhoon is in contention for this, dont know who the consortiums sale's nation is for it though......... Switzerland’s Air 2030 plan narrows down options | ribblewader
25/10/2018 11:17 | wad Yes. After this: "Blind hatred of America and it's foreign policies is sixth form socialism to a tee. Political equivalent of daddy issues." A disrespectful comment implying that my views and understanding of the world haven't progressed since sixth-form and implying anyone who does have some positive thoughts towards socialism the same. Disrespectful! And then "Daddy issues" - what is all that about? Here is the Minerve lesson: Respect me. I'll respect you. Sarcastic comments will not be ignored. | minerve
25/10/2018 10:41 | Minerve; you think your posts are necessary? Look at your posting and try and imagine that you are an unbiased observer and decide what you would think. "cmackay Member since: 16 May 2016 Still in his nappy. A lot to learn here, and in life too, I'm sure. LOL Have a look at an Atlas tonight chimp, instead of watching Hollyoaks. ;)" | wad collector
25/10/2018 10:19 | "Defence spending under President Trump and a continuing boom in air travel boosted Boeing, leading the aircraft manufacturer to raise its full year profit guidance after reporting better than expected third-quarter results. Shares in Boeing were trading about 3 per cent higher at $360.50 by mid-morning in New York" - FT yesterday. | minerve
25/10/2018 10:12 | Minerve; yes you may. | cmackay
25/10/2018 09:40 | cmackay "But despite the fact I'm still young enough to wake up with an erection I have managed to build businesses from scratch on 3 continents and am currently expanding my Caribbean incorporation across various other islands, so I will leave the atlas for the bookshelf thank you." May I suggest you focus on your business then rather than making childish comments towards others who are more experienced and know what they are talking about. You will soon find out I know more. Your ego may struggle to deal with that fact. If your business is so successful I would recommend you leave ADVFN and focus your time and efforts on that. It will provide a better return than socialising and listening to morons here and investing in shares that on average will fail to live up to expectation. | minerve
25/10/2018 09:38 | Absolutely agree. In other news, little of interest. "BAE to invest $4M for greener propulsion systems for vehicles" "Euronaval 2018: BAE Systems looks to build on early 40 mm Mk 4 gun success" | fangorn2
25/10/2018 09:13 | Minerve likes to argue on BBs. Can I suggest a different BB? | wad collector
24/10/2018 19:53 | cmackay Member since: 16 May 2016 Still in his nappy. A lot to learn here, and in life too, I'm sure. LOL Have a look at an Atlas tonight chimp, instead of watching Hollyoaks. ;) | minerve
24/10/2018 19:41 | Minerve. Pedantry, red herring, straw man, ad hominem. Yawn. | cmackay
24/10/2018 15:46 | This is what some from the US like to do. Push their ideas and corrupt values onto everyone else around the planet. Go on holiday to hunt innocent animals, needless killing for self gratification. You would think they would have matured out of gun mentality by now, but not so. Backward nation in some respects. A bit like the UK. | minerve
24/10/2018 10:17 | Lockheed Martin raised full-year earnings guidance as it reported stronger than expected third-quarter earnings, partly due to rising production of the F-35 fighter plane. - FT Yesterday. | minerve
24/10/2018 10:16 | cmackay For a start, get your facts straight, America encompasses more countries than just the USA. Your post I believe refers to the USA and not America. As far as the USA goes I have no blind hatred at all. I purchased a house there and had the second home in the US for 4 years. It was purchased not because of work but just my desire to live in the US when I am not here in the UK. I know the US very well - I've lived there and I know its people. To be a good investor you need to be more objective and have zero bias. Your immediate referal to socialism shows you have medieval, tribal attitude. You need to be a little more progressive in thinking if you are to make any serious money at investing. | minerve
24/10/2018 08:36 | That's an interesting development, RW. I shall be keenly waiting to see which tech they choose to adopt. Im wondering if hydrogen will play a part? | cmackay
24/10/2018 08:00 | BAE Systems announces £3.5m electric propulsion development 23 Oct 2018 BAE Systems has today announced a £3.5m commitment to develop greener and safer rechargeable electric propulsion systems. | ribblewader
23/10/2018 23:05 | Certainly, but I can see the cybersecurity industry becoming more intertwined with defence as threats change over time. What may be a sideline for bae now could become more prominent in the future. In that sense I think they would be better keeping it as a division of the company. | cmackay
23/10/2018 22:07 | Security System side I'd prefer to invest in the likes of Check Point Security Fortinet Palo Alto Security just a side division for BAE at the moment...if it gets big enough might be sold off, ipo'd?? Long way to go for the latter. | fangorn2
23/10/2018 21:58 | Blind hatred of America and it's foreign policies is sixth form socialism to a tee. Political equivalent of daddy issues. | cmackay
23/10/2018 21:46 | I think the fact that tech advances have opened up the securities markets to instant access trading across various platforms and devices has resulted in an exponential rise in the number of potential weak points. Any system is only as secure as its most vulnerable point. I would be interested to see what BAE propose moving forward. Thales have recently launched a healthcare IoT product using Device Authority to secure it, so presumably there are solutions available right now? Are companies aware of the solutions? Are they even aware how vital having a solution is? | cmackay
23/10/2018 17:59 | Welcome Losos. :) | oriana2
23/10/2018 15:47 | oriana2 - Thanks, your post 1314 made me laugh. | losos |
