Lockheed Martin's new deal with the Pentagon for F-35 fighters lowered the purchase price by nearly 8 percent yet should still be profitable for the defense contractor, according to industry analysts.

Is there any likelihood BAE could renter with the Advanced Hawk hoping to win on price even though it may not meet the full RfP spec? Trump is just the sort of man who would say if its good enough for the US Navy its good enough for the USAF and so re-direct the funds to procure more fighter jets or bombers.

Just think BAE picked the wrong partner.

BAE also has extensive experience in offering pilot training and these factors made it an attractive partner for Northrop, though the US business would have had to lead the bid to make it politically acceptable in America.

Can I suggest we draw a line here and stick to BAE? Use a different forum to continue this debate.

@Phil,
"My point with my original posting was that Sadiq Khan is a hypocrite."

That was my point about Mienrve as well - blatant hypocrisy exhibited. I didn't care about their actual position but it's well known he is anti semitic.

Well Iran does, and it describes itself as "the garden of Eden on human rights" ;-)

I`m in no position to take the moral high ground on anything . I invest here in a company that sells military hardware to Saudi Arabia who only two months ago bombed the sh$te out of a funeral in Yemen.

Whatever you think about the USA , and I understand both sides of the argument, my point with my original posting was that Sadiq Khan is a hypocrite.

What do they label themselves as then ?

edit:

And I`m not even talking about the USA , I`m talking about Sadiq Khan

But there is one huge difference!

Those countries don't label themselves as 'land of the free' or 'leaders of the free world'. They are what they are!

The USA is the hypocrite here.

You completely miss the point and objective of signing the petition. If you don't see the point you don't have to sign it. I will not bite you.

OK. Great brunch coming up.

Signing petitions is a waste of time , especially on line . An illusion of effectiveness. Would Trump really care if twenty million Brits signed online? Still a minority . And vulnerable to multiple voting. (Not like the elections!?)
He has shown that he is not interested in liberal opinion.

Unfortunatelly I cannot ban Minerve, even though he is one of the biggest hypocrits on ADVFN. This may be the best bet ........ Minerve 30 Jan '17 - 20:22 - 587 of 590 0 0 (premium) (Filtered)
