21/4/2017 10:05 | The cynic would say that bcn have developed the project slowly at Sonora to maximize / spin out the no. of years of director's salaries (about 9 years already?). So one big bright light in all of this is the timetable and business ethic of the offtaker (Hanwa). Being Japanese - with all that grounding in efficient manufacturing and quality - I expect them to mastermind everything from now and get this mine up & running in next to no time. They will not stand for dillying and dallying. A new pair of hands at the wheel. The customer will say what speed they work at from now on. Think Kaizen (改善) - the Japanese word for "continuous improvement | andrbea
19/4/2017 08:00 | Now AIM listed RBD join the LITHIUM fray [see RNS] Jeremy Edelman, Reabold's Chairman, commented. "With the current dynamics surrounding the fast growing European lithium market, the Company sees tremendous opportunity in this rapidly developing San Jose Lithium-Tin Project together with the Project's development partners as they continue to add quantum steps of value to the project through their experienced personnel and professional operational skills. We see the San Jose Lithium-Tin Project as a potential company making investment going forward. The Company and Plymouth Minerals Limited, the majority owners of Tonsley, will be discussing future opportunities between them on ways to co-operate on potentially increasing Reabold's corporate and operational involvement in this exciting San Jose Lithium-Tin project." | cpap man

11/4/2017 14:17 | Given the price performance of AIM junior mining exploration stocks over the last 8 or so years,I think there's every reason to expect a degree of market conservatism. When you see on these BBs posts drawing attention to this and that lithium producer it fuels the suspicion there's a bubble building.I think that both BCN and EMH will make it comfortably to production.Yet,a lot won't .Ultimately,a balance between lithium supply and demand will be reached, note the likes of Albemarle rapidly expanding output.I'd rather have a steady, considered rise in share prices than the lunacy, boom and bust that characterised the AIM junior miners at the start of this decade.Nothings being taken for granted even for the "slam dunk" that is lithium production. | steeplejack
11/4/2017 12:42 | I agree with you both, but may be the market isn't fully aware of it & they are tarred with the same old explorer. The monied market want safer stock to plough theire vast wealth into, not risk takers like us. I hold these via Cadence, ex REM but don't have a direct hold in them, but do have an interest obviously & want to see them make it. | bobby.ifa
11/4/2017 12:23 | And Bacanora have a CEO who's already got several mines into operation. Not many more issues to resolve (apart from financing). | igbertsponk
11/4/2017 12:22 | From where Bacanora are today the chances of them making it to production are more like 80%. The hard part is done. | bookwormrobert
11/4/2017 12:18 | It won't be in full production until 2019 minimum, if it's one of the only 2% of minerals exploration company's who make it to product- Kieran's words on the share profits video today. | bobby.ifa
11/4/2017 11:43 | I find the subdued share price response to the excellent news announced yesterday quite perplexing. One would have thought that this would have pushed us on much further than has been the case. | ifthecapfits
11/4/2017 08:47 | Here is a cheaper Lithium venture with better grades of ore,KOD. It has Chinese interest in it and could rise far fast. Worth checking out. /////////Edgein11 Apr '17 - 08:09 - 2010 of 2010 3 0 GD, Don't think so, they're fast tracking for sure. But maiden JORC won't be until at least mid year, they'll need the assays first. Then right to mine, perhaps end of year if they get it fast tracked. I could see major action here given how hot lith is right now with the Chinese and Japanese. Could see a bit of a bun fight over KOD if someone wants them cheap. Clearly lots of lithium here and shallow so a pit operation will work for most or all of these targets (trenching throwing up good grades too). If the Mali gov play ball they may have the right to mine soonish after the JORC. Production isn't everything, the likes of BCN and REM are capped much higher and aren't in production. Not sure how long it'll take to get the ML from the Mali gov, but in the mean time KOD are fast catching up with BCN in terms of proving up lots of high grade lithium. Remember our grades are 3-5 times their grades at Sonora! Regards, Ed. | 12bn

10/4/2017 22:16 | Isn't the 10% stake price more understandable given it comes with the offtake deal and facilitation of debt finance? | hutch_pod
10/4/2017 19:51 | The markets are very good at "discounting" news which has been the undoing of many a momentum trader. This news was pretty much anticipated and there's something of a relief rally that things,as promised, have been sorted.Yet,the company has sold a tenth of new equity at 82.5p.Sort of caps undo exuberance that the company is prepared to sell such a sizeable stake at that price level.A couple of years ago,BCN's shares hit a pound and have traded within a defined range ever since. You wouldn't actually have missed out on much if you'd sold back in early 2015.I'm happy to hold but have suspicions that target prices of 130p within the next few months (whether they come from chartists or wherever) might prove optimistic. | steeplejack
10/4/2017 16:24 | Guess that was the news we're supposed to sell! Was expecting it to go Higher on this - probably disappointment fatigue in the share price front. maybe tomorrow when the news is reported in press. Should find Germany. Gla | runthejoules
10/4/2017 13:05 | Seems the director buys were a very good signal. Deal must have been looking pretty good to them albeit not imminent as such.. I guess they did tell us talks were advanced. | hutch_pod
10/4/2017 09:06 | A sober response to long anticipated good news. The Hanwa purchase of stock at 82.5p establishes a benchmark as well as a support level.Further Hanwa purchases in due course could push the shares towards a pound.I would have liked Hanwa to pay more for a substantial initial stake but 82.5p seems fair given recent share price movements. | steeplejack

10/4/2017 08:41 | Well done Mark Hohnen and Peter Secker. Their process has been validated. They can produce battery grade samples over a period of time. Off take agreement at market prices with an established player who has become a cornerstone investor. From this mornings RNS "Bacanora Chairman Mark Hohnen stated, "This partnership with one of Japan's leading battery chemical traders is transformational for Bacanora: it significantly reduces the overall risk profile of the Project; validates our production process; and provides us with an excellent platform with which to fund the future development of Sonora, our advanced lithium project in Mexico. Importantly, a long-term, supportive relationship has been established between ourselves and Hanwa, who will take a 10% interest in our Company and also purchase between 70-100% of the total lithium carbonate production from our unique asset, highlighting their confidence in our processing methods and our ability to execute on the exciting opportunity that Sonora presents. This will be priced at market prior to production. "Crucially, this relationship provides Bacanora with a further aligned cornerstone investor ahead of project financing and establishes a mantel from which we hope to leverage towards project debt financing out of Japan to contribute towards the construction of a significant lithium carbonate operation in Mexico. We are delighted to have delivered on our stated objective to secure a partner within the buoyant Asian lithium carbonate market and look forward to continuing this theme in the coming months, as we work towards the completion of our Feasibility Study." This mornings rise brings the share price to the top of recent range so I would expect to move on from here to reflect this news. | qackers
