Ganfeng always take ages getting the cash out, but this seems like a done deal so buying way below 67.5p pretty sensible.

The only explanation is that this takeover wont be popular with the Mexican government or,more to the point,with potential US customers north of the border.That being the case,perhaps a US company might emerge to top the Ganfeng bid,who knows,but the current discount to a suggested bid of 67.5p seems excessive.

Not sure the Mexican Government will be happy with a wholly-owned Chinese miner so expect BCN to continue in current form.

Fully agree. The Chinese link was a positive in endorsing the project but sentiment has very much moved away from China. Suspect Gangfeng will go for full ownership at some stage

We're in that interregnum period between derisking the venture through the fund raising and actual production which is still some 2 years away. I don't expect much to happen for a while but as I've said that it probably will. In the meantime I'm accumulating at these levels.My only regret is that we're in bed with the Chinese. The West has been caught asleep at the wheel with lithium and other metals on which future green economies will be based.
