Love to know who at the top table are going to get the chop.... Still I doubt they'll be weeping at their severance packages unlike the pour souls further down the food chain who will no doubt just be given statutory redundancy

Glad I held firm this week...was sorely tempted to get out yesterday. About time this dog of a share showed some life. Mind you I should have got years ago when they were £14!!

Looks cheap based on that statement so probably will buy now. Just see where it settles today

I did say that the market was forward thinking and any whiff of good news would act as rocket fuel. Well, we've just had that whiff! ;-) Spare a thought for Blackrock though who increased their short last week - we should now also see the short positions being worked out next few weeks or so which should also add to the share price Corner finally turned and all out in the open. ;-)

"Net debt (excluding lease obligations) at 31 March 2021 was £750 million"

Not so fast, average net debt was £1.2bn.

But whatever, they're doing the right things, just need a spot of patience, lol.

Well, volume has picked up and the RSI is not even lukewarm. Not too far to go to 270. Any breach above this would be extremely significant as it would herald the end of the downwards trend which has been in place since Jan last year. The market is forward thinking, ergo why I liked and agree with the above article posted over the weekend. The reaction to the leak was temporary (didn't even last the day) and now even a whiff of good news should set alight the recovery. Looking as good as it has been for very long time! ;-)

"It's just a shame the old guard won't be dragged off the golf course today and thrown in prison!"

How do you know it is the old guard and not the new guard?

How convenient the old guard don't have a say in the matter.

I think the rules should be ammended such that the leaving of a CEO should force an independent audit of the accounts as standard. If there is any adjustment to be done then it should be done before a new CEO arrives. It would stop kitchen sinking. It doesn't matter how good the auditors are they will always rely on the views of the executive and management to help place value on contracts and hence assets.

I'm not particularly keen on this Lockwood guy. Bringing in his previous buddy FD. Things are too cushy around the boardroom table it seems. He should have grown a set of balls and hired a completely new and independent FD. Not some old chum from his previous job.

There's a chance that the 'leak' was deliberate and that the eventual write-down might be less.

In any case, no reason not to expect a 'kitchen-sinker'. Best to be fleet of foot - one way or the other - when the announcement eventually comes.

No new news, already known. I've taken this as an opportunity to add - ask me in a years' time whether I was right or wrong. ;-)
