Min2: Normally in my case its: he who waits misses the boat OR avoids a crash:
One or the other, there rarely, if ever is there a third option ....
Waiting never really works.

Those with sense wait and see what the final year is like. You don't need to time the bottom and there will be plenty of opportunity to ride the recovery - when and if it comes.

Be interesting to see what the auction price is after hours or what the press say over weekend.
Will it be "fall over done or more to come"...

Same here but you buy not on what could happen on the day, you buy because you believe that over the course of weeks you'll make a bit and over course of months a bit more.
Cant go on to years as thats too long.

Cant always guess the right price. What ever, most of us know if it makes money and its a big company it will recover somewhat down the road.

Looks like 400 is the pretty average price this stock should be trading at.
I guess with dodgyness thrown in perhaps should be trading at 300.
So looks like the upside is about 100p to 200p more to rise.
The downside is probably about 20p to 40p more to fall?

Assume odds of both probably similar (given 12 months)

So on face value probably (even with the accounts thing) a reasonably good bet

Problem with a takeover with this business is that it would have to be a UK company as the buyer.. can’t think of many businesses that would want / are able to buy it

Algo boys will take it to 100p, then should settle after some time easy 50% profit at that point.

I bought a tiny number for a bounce at some point. Its a possible buying opportunity. Just a wild punt for me (nothing heavy). Basically its doing OK-ish.

Looking at the order book, this will bounce to 240p by close.

Mismanaged for years, it's a sitting duck for an acquirer who sees a quality business at the core of operations. I can see a take out at 300p, way below true fair value, especially with only 2 meaningful shareholders on the register

No good news in that, because there is no good news.

Why try to takeover this dawg when there's so much uncertainty over write-downs. The only possible ray of sunshine would be if Directors piled-in, and big time, but I doubt that will happen.

Saying all that, and assuming that write-downs will be manageable, it's as cheap as chips.
