Just an update on my last post regarding Capita lost share certificate. It arrived today after supposedly been posted on 29th Jan. Anyway it's here now no point in crying about it. Took 53 days so don't give up and pay tons for a replacement :) Good luck to everyone. To think what this once was many years ago.

Just get in touch with your broker. They'll either send you a form to use and send back and then they will process your vote, or (if they are helpful) will take your instruction over the phone and process. Its best to speak to someone in Corporate Actions.

I'm going to make contact with Capita again today. My certificate was sent directly from Barclays to them. I asked Capita for confirmation of postage and they told me it says so on the computer. I did say it wasn't good enough confirmation.

Geelite, have you asked Capita for Proof of posting your certificate. If they cannot prove they sent it. They must pay for new certificate .Even with EBay You get a Proof of posting for free from the Post office ..

About 3 years ago I sent Capita my certs to close a sale and when no cheque arrived after a lengthy period, I wrote to them and was informed they hadn't received the certs, must have been lost in the post I was informed.

It cost me about £60 for indemnity on the certs. Nice little earner, the post office is always blamed if anything goes astray in either direction, but a huge office complex as in this case can never lose a document!

A recorded delivery can trace whatever is sent to Capita, but the return envelope trip from Capita is entirely at the customer's risk.

I have had no issued with Capita.

Did they send it recorded delivery ? If not I would say they are at fault.

I received a cheque from Capita Asset Services for shares I'd sold. But as I'd only surrendered half my holding I waited for my remaining shares certificate to arrive.Today I contacted CAS who told me it had been posted 2nd Feb past.I can honestly say I've never had post go missing.CAS told me I'd have to pay approximately £300 to have a new Certificate Has anyone else had this problem ? as I've googled it as it seems more common than I thought!Are they fakers

Willingers clearly want to take this private by preventing BSD from issuing more shares. By issuing more shares BSD can ensure that it does not lose its London listing.Also I see that Willi foods has up to tomorrow to file a notice to hold an AGM, otherwise it may lose its listing.So Willingers probably hoping that both get delisted, then they may be free to do what they like, at the expense of the long suffering ordinary shareholders.It will be up to the court to throw out Willingers injunction.

It seems I didn't add my NI number to the disclaimer form so they withheld 25% Withholding tax. An unhappy experience from Geo days right until the end!:(
